Matt Garcia was named Interim Chief of the Natalia Police Department by the Natalia City Council during a meeting on Monday, June 15.
Garcia’s salary was adjusted to $45,000 while in the role of Interim Chief.
Garcia has served at Natalia PD since August of 2016.
Council postponed action on the hiring process and timetable for a permanent chief.
“I am looking forward to continue working for our community in tangent with our law enforcement counterparts to get the objective done…which is to provide a safe environment for our citizens to reside,” Garcia said.
