Natalia ISD has received 30 applications for its Superintendent position and expects more to come in before the application period closes this Friday.
“We have a large number of true quality candidates that have applied and it will be a true challenge attempting to narrow down a list of who to offer interviews to,” Board President Eric Smith said.
The Board is meeting at 2:00 pm on January 10 to review the applications and select candidates for first-round interviews.
Those interviews are expected to begin the week of Jan. 18.
Dr. Lana Collavo has held the role of Interim Superintendent since April 2020, following former Superintendent Dr. Hensley Cone’s departure for La Vernia ISD in March 2020, and Interim Superintendent Dr. Alexandro Flores’s acceptance of a position with Trinity University a month later.
