Natalia ISD Board reorganized, Smith back to President and Rodriguez VP

The Natalia ISD School Board voted at its December 13 meeting to reorganize itself, appointing Eric Smith President and Tiffany Rodriguez Vice President in a reversal of decisions made at the November meeting.
Rodriguez opened the Dec. 13 meeting in her role as President, and a motion by Secretary Gordon Gentry and member Andrew Besa to reorganize the Board passed with support from Rodriguez, Smith, and members Mireya Vanderslice and Fernando Garza. Member Paul Almendarez voted against the motion.
Gentry then nominated Smith for President, while Almendarez nominated Rodriguez to remain in the role. Smith was appointed to the position 4-3, garnering support from Gentry, Besa, Garza, and himself.
Rodriguez was then appointed Vice President.
The Board had previously voted to install Rodriguez as President and Smith as Vice President during the Nov. meeting.
No discussion was held regarding the decision to reorganize.
