Martha Ella Jones, of Lytle, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in San Antonio, at the age of 73.
Martha was born December 1,1945 in Somerset, Texas to Virgel Tupin and Lillie Mae (Weaver) Riddle.
She is preceded by her father, Virgel Tupin and brother, Charles Tupin.
Martha is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Charles Jones; her mother, Lillie Mae Riddle; son, Charles Lee Jones and wife Vivian; daughter, Tammy Lynn Munoz and husband Julio; brothers, James Earl Tupin, Virgel Dale Tupin; sister, Linda Shockley; grandchildren, Jennifer Colbert, Joshua Everet Jones, Jaelyn Jones, and great-grandchild, Paul Marcel Colbert.
She attended Somerset High school, where she participated in the band as one of their majorettes.
On May 14, 1977 she married Charles Jones, in Everman, Texas, and together they raised their family in San Antonio, moving to their ranch in Lytle in 1998.
She worked for 15 years at Bealls, 10 years at Solo Serve in San Antonio, and 10 years at the Lytle HEB.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Lytle.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Bexar Cemetery in Somerset
