Margarito D. Velasquez, of Devine, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018, in San Antonio, at the age of 80.
Margarito was born December 24, 1937 in Devine to Simon and Maria D.Velasquez, both who precede him.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Velasquez), sons; Simon L. and wife Glenda Velasquez, Mario D. Velasquez; daughter, Melaine and husband Bobby Valdez; brothers, Robert Velasquez, Vicente Velasquez; sisters, Amelia Samarripa, Gloria Ballesteros, Lydia Ochoa, Ramona Gallegos, Mary Velasquez; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Monday, November 19, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm, at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine.
Funeral mass was Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Devine, with interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Devine.
