Margaret Mary Biediger Haby Schott

Margaret Mary Biediger Haby Schott, age 91 of Castroville, passed away on December 2, 2018 in San Antonio. She was born October 17, 1927 in Hondo.
In 1945, Margaret graduated from St. Louis High School. She married Howard Haby and they made their home in Dunlay. They were blessed with forty-five years of marriage and three children. Howard passed away on August 21, 1991. Margaret married Richard J. Schott in October 1996. They were blessed with twenty years of marriage before Richard passed away on September 29, 2016.
Margaret was a lifelong member of St. Louis Catholic Church, a member of St. Ann’s Altar Society for over fifty years, American Legion Weiss-Wurzbach Auxiliary Post 460 and Catholic Life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Joseph Biediger and Irma Haby Biediger Moak; step-father, Alton Moak; husband, Howard Harold Haby, husband, Richard J. Schott; son, Elmer Howard Haby; brother, Larry Biediger; in-laws, Robert “Bob” D. Hester, Lawrence C. (Rosalie) Haby and Adella Mae (Luther Lee) Whitehead.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Soane of San Antonio; son, Louis Haby of Dunlay; grandchildren, Lisa Soane, Joseph (Diane) Soane III and Laurie Soane (Chris) Strawn; great-grandson, Jack Strawn; sister, Melrose Hester; sister-in-law, Julie Dee Stewart; stepdaughters, Cindy (Hilton) Stinson, Sheila (Bo) Newell; and step-grandchildren, Matthew Stinson, Sarah (John) Fields, Aron Newell.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5, 2018 starting at 4:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in Margaret’s memory to St. Louis Catholic School or St. Louis Catholic Church.
