Lytle Police Report Sept. 16-22

Sept. 16
8:30 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to an unknown person(s) who are dumping trash at her unoccupied residence on Main St. Complainant requested extra patrols.
8:59 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a welfare check on 3 children left in a vehicle. A 13 YO brother was watching the two young siblings, all was okay.
11:25 AM – Officer responded to Kirks Welding for a report of an estranged boyfriend texting photos to his ex-girlfriend of him removing her belongings from her residence while she was away. Officer searched the area, unable to locate subject.
12:00 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a hit & run.
1:00 PM – Officer responded to Lynda’s Trade Mart and talked to officer in reference to a civil matter.
2:15 PM – Officer responded to Express Rent to Own for a report of a theft of a T.V. Suspect took a flat screen floor display (little did he know it was broken and a display only).
3:10 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a theft. The merchandise (a lot of hair care products) was taken outside the store and left by a male suspect when confronted by an employee. All merchandise was recovered and returned to the store.
6:50 PM – Officer responded to 19600 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officer made contact with the homeowner who advised everything was okay.
7:00 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of N. Prairie St. and talked to officer in reference to an unsolicited obscene picture received on social media.
7:28 PM – Office responded to HEB Plus for a report of two juveniles running through the parking lot. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
10:42 PM – Officer responded to Brown’s Tackle & Gun for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
Sept. 17
12:25 AM – Officer responded to Brown’s Tackle & Gun for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
7:00 AM – While on patrol at Main St. at McDonald St. officer observed between 2-3 yards of concrete spilled onto the roadway. Lytle Public Works removed the concrete and officer provided traffic control.
11:00 AM – Officer responded to Main St. at Bank St. and assisted motorist to jump start her vehicle.
12:43 PM – Traffic stop at IH 35 Access Rd. and Creek St. resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old male subject for having an Active Warrant out of Bexar Co. for Robbery. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
1:40 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Public Library for a report of a flag being stolen the night before. The flag line was also cut, total estimated loss $100.
1:45 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported he had fallen victim to a scam through text messages.
7:00 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Community National Bank for a report of shots fired in the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
7:42 PM – Officer responded to Lynda’s Trade Mart for a report of a verbal disturbance.
11:19 PM – Officer responded to 100 E. Road Runner Dr. in Somerset to assist Atascosa Co. with a disturbance. The call was canceled before officer’s arrival.
Sept. 18
2:49 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of suspicious activity. Officer made contact with a male individual who was re-arranging his tools in his truck.
7:30 AM – Officer responded to 15900 Blk. of White Cap Dr. for a report of a toolbox and tools being taken out of the back of a pickup. Total estimated loss $500. Theft may have occurred at another location.
9:30 AM – Officer responded to Lake Shore Dr. for a report of a vehicle that had its hazard lights on. The driver stated she was a US Census worker conducting visits to residences that weren’t in the system.
9:35 AM – Officer was flagged down on N. Prairie St. at Laredo St. by a resident who lives on Lytle Somerset St. who wanted to report numerous speeders and stop sign runners. Resident requested extra patrols.
9:31 AM – Officer responded to 1300 Blk. of FM 2790 S to unlock a vehicle.
2:43 PM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ to unlock a vehicle.
6:09 PM – Officer responded to ABM Construction to assist Atascosa Co. with a report of a business alarm.
9:25 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Lake St. for a report of a 911 hang up call. Officer made contact with the resident who stated the daughter had dialed 911 accidentally.
Sept. 19
6:31 AM – Officer responded to FM 463 to assist Medina Co. with a pursuit. Officer was cancelled prior to arrival.
8:16 AM – Officer responded to Certified Truck & Auto for a report of a broken back windshield on a vehicle that was parked in the rear of the business.
9:35 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to trash dumped on her property without her consent. Officer noted that the trash appeared to have been there for what looked to be several months.
10:46 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a vehicle left at the location blocking the dumpster. The vehicle was not reported stolen.
11:58 AM – Officer responded to N. Somerset St. at Adams St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
3:42 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station to report that he lost his wallet while at HEB Plus.
4:16 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Main St. and talked to complainant who stated wooden scraps had been thrown around out of place at his property.
4:36 PM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a verbal disturbance. Officer stood by while the female party moved out voluntarily.
7:25 PM –Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of an unknown person(s) who entered complainant’s unsecured vehicle and ransacked the glove box. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.
Sept. 20
12:30 AM – Officer responded to Pumphouse Carwash for a report of a driver who became ill and parked his truck tractor at location. He was not creating a traffic hazard but agreed to remove the truck.
10:00 AM – Officer responded to Main St. at McDonald St. for a report of a stalled 18 wheeler. Officer stood by until 18 wheeler was mobile again.
11:53 AM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. and talked to complainant in reference to an issue with a customer. Officer assisted with a language barrier between the manager and the tenant.
12:04 PM – Officer was at 14900 Blk. of Main St. when a fleet accident occurred.
12:59 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Apartments for a report of a civil matter – landlord/tenant dispute.
6:13 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
6:42 PM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of a suspicious Hispanic male wearing blue jeans. Officer was unable to make contact with the complainant nor did locate the male fitting the description.
Sept. 21
1:03 AM – Officer responded to FM 2790 N at IH 35 to assist Medina Co. with a suicidal subject.
6:13 AM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of a suspicious compact vehicle running with nobody around. Upon officer’s arrival, the vehicle was gone.
7:51 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB for a report of a reckless driver. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
8:35 AM – Officer responded to S. Somerset St. at Mesquite St. to assist Animal Control Officer with a reported dead cat on the roadway.
9:00 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to a family member who just got out of jail and complainant does not want him coming to the house.
11:00 AM – While at US Post Office officers discovered a letter including 8 driver’s licenses found in the drop box. Officer was able to return two of the driver’s license to rightful owners.
12:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
2:15 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at McDonald St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
5:00 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store and talked to complainant in regards to a criminal trespass to a known shoplifter. Upon arrival, the subject had left the HEB C-Store and the clerks were unable to identify the subject.
5:35 PM – Officer responded to Pumphouse Carwash for a report of a male subject with a backpack who had just opened the electrical box of the ice maker machine because he thought there was someone trapped inside and he wanted to get them out. Officer located the male subject and advised him how dangerous the electrical box was.
8:49 PM – Officers responded to Live Oak St. at Norvell St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle with its hazards on driving up and down the street. Officers located the vehicle with a female inside who was teaching a male how to drive a manual transmission.
Sept. 22
8:10 AM – Officer responded to 18800 Blk. of Pine St. and talked to officer in regards to a theft of a child bicycle that occurred on 9/21/2019. The owner of the property stated the bike was recovered at Pine St. and Adams St. The owner of the residence had a video of the male who took the bike but was unable to identify the person.
9:16 AM – Officers responded to TXDOT Park and Ride for a welfare check on a man in a truck possibly not moving. Officers arrived and found the person was okay. It was a young guy that lives in his truck.
12:20 PM – Officers responded to 19500 Blk. of IH 35 S for a report of a reckless driver.
1:15 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Nails for a report of an active burglary of a vehicle. Upon arrival, it was discovered the pair were repairing a water heater for the business and owned the vehicle.
3:00 PM – Officers responded to 19700 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of an altercation between a group of juveniles. Upon arrival, it was discovered a group of kids had been fighting. One juvenile required EMS for a minor injury, none of the parents wished to pursue any criminal charges.
4:36 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Community Cemetery in regards to a complainant wanting to report a man washing his pickup in the cemetery. Upon officers’ arrival, the pickup had departed.
6:15 PM – Officer responded to FM 2790 at IH 35 Access Rd. and assisted a stranded motorist with a dead battery. The driver was able to start the vehicle without a jump.
8:05 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a vehicle in the parking lot with two suspicious people smoking inside. Officer located the vehicle and issued a Criminal Trespass Warning at the request of the manager.
9:04 PM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Adams St. and talked to complainant who reported an unidentified male entered her residence approximately a week before. Complainant thought it was a nurse due to her husband being ill. The complainant spoke with the nursing company who stated he was not an employee with them. She was advised to not let anyone else in the house without seeing some sort of credentials.
9:14 PM – Officer responded to Main St. for a report of a kitchen counter top that was laying across both lanes and causing a road hazard. Officer removed the item off the road.
10:14 PM – Officer responded to 63300 Blk. of Hidalgo St. for a report of a suspicious person. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
10:30 PM – While on patrol at FM 2790 and Main St. officer noticed a stop sign had been knocked down. Officer notified TXDOT and placed a temporary stop sign.
10:35 PM –Officer responded to 2700 Blk. of Hwy. 132 to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a grass fire.
