Lytle Police Report Nov. 18-24

Nov. 18
8:45 AM – Officers responded to FM 2790 N at Main St. for a third party report of a possible two vehicle minor accident. Officer checked the area, unable to locate.
12:30 PM – Officer responded to 18000 Blk. of Lake Wind and talked to complainant in regards to damage to the rear window of a vehicle. It doesn’t appear to be criminal in nature.
3:15 PM – Officer observed a vehicle matching the description of one used in a theft at Burger King 11/13/19 in the 15000 Blk. of Main St. A traffic stop was conducted that resulted in the arrest of a 44-year-old male subject for having two outstanding felony warrants out of Atascosa Co. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
3:30 PM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for an out of state license to carry application.
4:30 PM – Officer responded to US Post Office to unlock a vehicle.
4:55 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
7:34 PM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of trespassers in an empty mobile home under renovations.
Nov. 19
1:05 AM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Oak St. for a report of loud music coming from a parked vehicle. Officer detained two juveniles and warned them about the city ordinance violation. Officer then smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Both juveniles were taken to the Police Station and released to their guardians.
8:17 AM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a suspicious person who had a large knife and binoculars and wasn’t making a lot of sense. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
12:40 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a shoplifter who took diapers and beer. A 19-year-old male subject arrested for Theft < $100. Subject was cited and released.
1:43 PM – Officer responded to Pecan Grove Apartments for a report of a dog found inside a dumpster. Lytle Animal Control was notified.
2:00 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of unknown person(s) who spray-painted graffiti on the park entrance sign.
3:05 PM – Officers responded to 19300 Blk. of Blume Dr. for a report of suspicious males sitting in the front yard of an empty home. Upon arrival, it was discovered the juvenile male lived on Blume Dr. All was okay.
7:45 PM – Officer responded to 19400 Blk. of Dawson St. for and talked to complainant in reference to a vehicle being ransacked. Complainant believes nothing was taken from the vehicle and wanted incident to be reported.
8:05 PM – Traffic stop at S. Somerset St. and Mesquite St. for driving on the wrong side of the road resulted in the vehicle being impounded due to the driver being unlicensed, no insurance, registration expired and not registered to the driver.
11:10 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 N at FM 2790 E and provided a courtesy ride and some money assistance to a homeless man. Officer drove him to the Loves Truck stop for a meal and to get him closer to his family.
Nov. 20
10:58 AM – Officers responded to 63000 Blk. of Cortez Rd. for a report of a subject seen jumping the fence to an abandoned residence. The subject was located walking in Twin Lakes. Officers made contact and subject was advised to not trespass when walking back to Twin Lakes.
1:37 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report.
1:41 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of vehicle parked that was stuck by what appeared to be a shopping basket. Complainant of vehicle was not inside the unit at the time the incident occurred.
7:38 PM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of a tire being stolen off of a vehicle while it was parked.
9:16 PM – Traffic stop at Mesquite St. and S. Somerset St. resulted in the arrest of a 38-year-old male subject for Failure to Identify – Fugitive from Justice. Subject had an Active Parole Warrant out of Austin for the Original Charge of Possession of Controlled Substance 1-4g. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
Nov. 21
3:38 AM – While conducting a building check at Burger King, officer discovered an unlocked drive through window. Officer checked the building for any signs of criminal activity, none were found. Officer locked the window on the way out and left a note for the morning crew.
5:14 PM – Officer responded to the 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. to assist EMS.
7:35 PM – Officer responded to Boxhouse Rd. to assist ACSO with a disturbance.
8:55 PM – Officer responded to the 19500 Blk. of Lazy J Trail for a 911 hang-up. Officer searched the area but was unable to determine where the call came from.
Nov. 22
12:53 AM – Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 19800 Blk. of IH 35 Access Rd. that resulted in the arrest of a 39-year-old male subject for DWI First Offense.
6:15 AM – A 33-year-old male subject turned himself in to the Lytle PD. He had 2 active warrants out of Medina County for Assault – Impede Breathing Family.
8:35 AM – Officers respond to the Days Inn for a welfare check.
9:40 AM – Officers were contacted at the PD in reference to a juvenile that was struck by a vehicle on Dawson St. at Houston St. while riding a bike to school that morning. The juvenile had minor injuries. The unknown driver involved left the scene after checking on the juvenile.
11:47 AM – Officers responded to IH 35 at mile marker 133 for a traffic accident.
12:45 PM – Officer responded to the area of FM 2790 N at CR 681 for a report of shots fired. Officer determined it was a civil war cannon demonstration at the High School.
1:30 PM – Officer process a 16 y/o male juvenile at the Atascosa County Juvenile Detention center for Burglary of a Building in reference to an incident that occurred on 11/6/19 at Brown’s Gun and Tackle.
7:15 PM – Officer responded to the HEB Plus for a report of a runaway. The juvenile was entered into as a runaway. The juvenile was also listed as a runaway by BCSO and ACSO.
7:15 PM – Officer responded to the HEB Plus for a report of a juvenile that wandered away from the parents. The juvenile was found prior to arrival.
7:25 PM – Officer responded to the 19600 Blk. of Martin St. for an alarm.
11:19 PM – Officer responded to the 15300 Blk. of Laredo St. in reference to a suspicious vehicle.
Nov. 23
2:19 AM – Officer assisted DPS with a crash on IH 35 at mile marker 133.
7:53 AM – Officer responded to Starcross Trail for a suspicious vehicle in the area.
12:41 PM – Officer responded to the 200 Blk. of CR 6842 for a verbal disturbance.
2:18 PM – Officer responded to Harbour St. for a verbal disturbance.
2:18 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 Access RD. at FM 3175 for a traffic hazard.
2:18 PM – Officer responded to the Days Inn to assist EMS.
5:30 PM – Officer responded to the HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
7:00 PM – Officer observed graffiti on a sign on Laredo St. at FM 2790 N.
7:11 PM – Officer responded to the HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
11:00 PM – Officer gave a courtesy ride to the City of Somerset from McDonald St. at IH 35.
11:49 PM – Officers responded to the PD regarding a road rage incident.
Nov. 24
12:14 AM – Officers responded to the 800 Blk. of River Bluff Dr. to assist ACSO with a physical disturbance.
12:49 AM – Officers responded to the Sonic for an alarm.
1:13 AM – Officers responded to the 14600 Blk. of Main St. for a report of 3 males walking in a backyard.
12:14 PM – Officer responded to the Lytle Nursing Home for a Hospice Death.
12:36 PM – Officer responded to the PD for a civil matter.
12:46 PM – Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle in the 14800 Blk. of Railroad Street. The driver led police on a pursuit north on Railroad Street into Bexar County. LPD terminated the pursuit when the motorcycle reached Pearsall Road at Luckey Road. Officer was able to obtain the LP displayed on the motorcycle. Criminal Investigation pending for Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle.
2:41 PM – Officer responded to the HEB Plus for a vehicle unlock.
4:45 PM – Officer assisted a motorist with directions to Benton City Cemetery.
5:40 PM – Officer received a report that unknown person(s) stole three Star Wars Christmas decorations from the 19200 Blk. of McDonald Street.
6:19 PM – Officer dispatched to the Dollar Tree for a suspicious customer. The individual departed prior to the Officer’s arrival.
8:14 PM – Officers assisted Lytle VFD with a vehicle fire near the intersection of Lake @ Benton Street.
8:46 PM – Officer dispatched to the 18000 Blk. of Tippen for a report of gun shots being fired in the area. Most likely “popping” from the vehicle fire which was nearby
