Lytle Police Report May 7-13


May 7

4:15 AM – Officer responded to Sonic Drive-In for a report of an alarm.
12:43 PM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of abandoned property. Officer seized drug related items and a shotgun and placed them in evidence for safekeeping.
2:18 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of a man and woman having a custody disagreement that resulted in the man shoving the woman. Officer located the couple and both agreed to separate. The female did not wish to pursue a criminal case.
5:50 PM – Complainant stopped by the police station and talked to officer in reference to a dog bite. Complainant was referred to Medina Co. since incident occurred out of our jurisdiction.
May 8
12:53 AM – Officer responded to Bruce St. for a report of a suspicious black Kia and a black Chevy SUV racing. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
8:50 AM – Officer responded to CVS Pharmacy to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient. Subject refused EMS transportation and the officer provided a courtesy ride to her residence.
9:55 AM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a report of possible credit card fraud. Case under investigation.
10:50 AM – Officers responded to Hurley’s Funeral Home and provided funeral escort.
12:30 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
2:41 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 N at FM 3175 for a report of a disturbance on the side of the road. Officer located the vehicle and it turned out to be a woman performing the Heimlich maneuver on her chocking father. The woman was able to clear his airway and the male refused EMS.
3:58 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 Access Rd. at FM 3175 to assist a disabled vehicle. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
5:42 PM – Officer responded to 15900 Blk. of Pecos St. to assist La Coste PD with a disturbance involving a knife.
6:53 PM – Complainant reported a stolen cell phone at the John Lott Park. Officer called the number and contacted a juvenile with the phone and got it returned. No charges filed.
7:38 PM – Officers responded to Atascosa Co. just outside our jurisdiction and assisted Atascosa Co. SO in reference to a stolen cell phone that was recovered.
May 9
5:47 AM – Officer responded to 18000 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of shots fired in Bexar Co. Officer patrolled the area, all was normal.
9:15 AM – Officer was notified that the 2004 Chevy Tahoe that was stolen on May 2, 2018 from N. Pecan St. was recovered by Texas DPS in San Antonio.
10:49 AM – Officer was flagged down by a citizen on 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. who reported a large pothole on Railroad St. behind the Railhead Café. Officer forwarded the information to Lytle Public Works.
11:45 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to a female subject who she believes has been near her property.
1:30 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported his unsecured Yeti 65 qt. stolen out of the bed of his truck sometime last night from the Days Inn. Total estimated loss $420.
5:00 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to a scam.
5:39 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of an E-Cigarette that had exploded and caused minor injury to complainant’s face.
8:30 PM – Officers responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. and assisted a stranded motorist who had ran out of fuel.
8:40 PM – Traffic stop at Lytle-Somerset St. and Lazy J Trail resulted in the recovery of a marijuana pipe with marijuana residue. The driver was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released.
10:08 PM – Officer responded to 15800 Blk. of White Cap Dr. for a report of a possible runaway. Officer arrived and met with the complainant who stated she had a disagreement with her 17 YO daughter and the juvenile left the home. Officer contacted the juvenile’s 18 YO boyfriend and was able to recover the child.
May 10
10:05 AM – Officer responded to 18700 Blk. of FM 2790 N for a report of an alarm.
10:45 AM – Officers provided funeral escort to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
11:35 AM – Officers responded to Subway P-Lot for a two vehicle crash.
1:15 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB for a report of a red Subaru driving recklessly. Officer was unable to locate.
2:00 PM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for licensing purposes.
5:01 PM – Officer assisted the public with directions to a residence.
6:10 PM – Officer responded to 14600 Blk. of Main St. for a report of debris on the roadway creating a traffic hazard. Officer arrived and removed debris off the roadway.
7:45 PM – Officer responded to 18000 Blk. of N. Prairie St. for a report of an assault. Case under investigation.
9:30 PM – Officer responded to 2800 Blk. of FM 3175 to assist Atascosa Co. with clearing a residence. Entry was not made to the residence.
May 11
12:20 PM – Complainant talked to officer in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
1:10 PM – Officer assisted Medina Co. and Lytle ISD and escorted the Lytle Baseball team through town who were going to playoffs.
2:35 PM – Officer talked to complainant in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
4:15 PM – Officer responded to Creek St. and conducted a welfare check on a resident. All was ok.
4:35 PM – Officer talked to Trailer Park Management in reference to heavy vehicle traffic/activity between midnight and 3am.
5:45 PM – Officer responded to FM 2790 E at IH 35 SB for a two vehicle crash.
5:50 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Short St. for a report of an assault that occurred at the John Lott Park. As of now, no charges are wished to be pursued.
6:00 PM – Officer responded to 18000 Blk. of Lakewind Dr. for a report of a residential alarm. Officer made contact with a male individual who stated he was the homeowner’s stepfather and had permission to be there.
6:33 PM – Officer responded to 63300 Blk. of Diaz St. and assisted a CPS Investigator.
8:30 PM – Officer was contacted in reference to a found wallet at the 15300 Blk. of Main St. Officer ran the name of the individual’s debit card in the wallet and discovered the owner had a Warrant for her arrest out of Bexar Co. for the Original Charge of Tamper Government Records. A 47-year-old female subject was located and placed under arrest. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
May 12
4:30 AM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of IH 35 SB and discovered a rolled over vehicle. The driver was out and un-injured. The vehicle was towed.
10:15 AM – Officers responded to 18400 Blk. of FM 2790 N for a report of loud music at a party. Officers arrived and advised homeowner to lower the music.
12:48 PM – Officer responded to Riding High Customs for a report of a disturbance at location. Officer spoke with both subjects involved and all was verbal. No offense occurred and subjects departed.
2:46 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a subject driving a yellow Hummer causing a disturbance with another driver over a handicap parking spot. Officer arrived and located the Hummer parked in handicap spot without a placard displayed. The other party departed prior to officer’s arrival.
3:28 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Apartments and met with complainant who wanted to report suspicious activity.
3:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a welfare check on a dog locked in a vehicle with the windows up. The owner was counseled about leaving an animal unattended in a hot vehicle.
5:30 PM – Officer responded to 140000 Blk. of IH 35 for a report of a reckless driver in the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
8:54 PM – Officer responded to 19600 Blk. of S. Benton St. for a medical emergency. Patient was transported to San Antonio Hospital by Atascosa EMS.
10:45 PM – A passing motorist on Main St. and Davis St. stopped officers and requested directions to the Lytle Community Cemetery. Officers provided directions.
May 13
1:34AM – Officers responded to IH 35 SB Frontage for a report of an intoxicated male. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
1:55 AM – Officer responded to the Recording Studio for a report of an alarm. Officer searched the area, all was normal.
2:00 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of individuals who were staying a little too long at the fuel pumps without purchasing fuel. Officer spoke with the 4 vehicle drivers and they agreed to move the gathering outside the city.
2:05 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB at Mile Marker 132 for a report of debris on the roadway. Officer searched the area but only located a destroyed wooden item on the shoulder.
4:37 AM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at Lucky Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a traffic issue involving two vehicles.
6:52 AM – Officer responded to McDonald’s to unlock a vehicle.
9:24 AM – Officer responded to John Lott Park to unlock a vehicle.
11:54 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a hit & run.
2:30 PM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Railroad St. for a follow-up on a case.
9:15 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a male that was possibly drinking an alcoholic beverage on the premises and was not wanted on the location. Officer made contact with the suspect who had a closed 18 pack of beer. Officer gave the individual a courtesy ride to Avery Dr.
