Lytle Police Report May 31-June 6

May 31
9:18 AM – Officer responded to 14300 Blk. of Railroad St. to assist Atascosa Co. EMS. with an 87 YOA female, EMS was later cancelled.
1:51 PM – Officer responded to Lytle One Stop Storage for a report of a burglary of a building that occurred between 1.5 to 2 weeks ago. The complainant failed to report the theft to the Lytle PD when it occurred and only reported the break-in to the storage office. The complainant stated numerous items were stolen with a total value of $3,162.
8:15 PM – Officers responded to John Lott Park for a report of two daughters 13 and 14 YO who had walked away from the park with a male juvenile. Officer called both cell phone number provided by the mother and sent text but no response. Officer received a phone call at 10:38 to report the daughters missing. Also, the mother of the other juvenile reported her son missing. All three juveniles were entered as missing persons. That were located approx. 6 hours later.
8:30 PM – Officer responded to Bruce St. for a report of loud music. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
9:42 PM – Officer responded to Exxon for a report of a storage unit that was broken into. The complainant stated an estimated value of $5,000 were stolen from her storage unit in the last two weeks.
June 1
2:10 AM – While on patrol at CR 6810 at FM 2790 N, officer spotted four individuals running in the rain during the thunderstorm. Officer stopped and identified the people as three juveniles from an earlier call. Officers took the three juveniles to the Police Station where they were cited for curfew violations and released to their mothers. (These were the juveniles from the call from about 6 hours prior)
5:26 AM – Officer responded to Park Place for a report of the newspaper lady who was trapped inside Park Place due to the exit gate malfunctioning. Officer opened the entry gate for her to leave.
8:29 AM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for employment purposes.
11:43 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of an unauthorized person behind the building. Officer made contact with a male subject who agreed to leave the property.
1:00 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of two suspicious males in the park. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
1:50 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer about her neighbor’s dog killing her chickens. The complainant was referred to Lytle Animal Control.
2:30 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer about her USPO packaged that was inadvertently delivered to the Lytle Post Officer instead of her Natalia Post Office.
2:30 PM – Officer responded to 17400 Blk. of FM 463 and talked to complainant in reference to a phone harassment. The complainant was referred to Medina Co. due to jurisdiction.
3:30 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to the process of challenging a denial to purchase a firearm by NCIC. The complainant was referred to the FBI website to initiate the process.
5:45 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a shoplifter. Management elected not to file charges but did want a Criminal Trespass issued.
9:08 PM – Officer responded to 1500 Blk. of FM 2790 E to assist Atascosa Co. with a domestic disturbance which turned out to be verbal only.
9:55 M – Officer responded to FM 2790 E near Luckey Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a suspicious vehicle that was driving towards Lytle.
June 2
8:21 AM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Cottage St. for a welfare check on a 911 call. The call was made accidentally by an employee.
11:02 AM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Main St. to assist The Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with an 18 wheeler trailer on fire.
7:54 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
7:57 PM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
June 3
8:43 AM – Officers responded to 18500 Blk. of Live Oak St. for a report of a disturbance between neighbors for the placement of a trashcan. Lytle Code Enforcement was notified and will make a determination where the trashcan needs to be placed.
4:07 PM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of IH 35 Access Rd. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
5:17 PM – Officers responded to 14300 Blk. of Main St. for a welfare check on an intoxicated man urinating on Main St. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the male and provided a courtesy ride to the Haven of Hope in San Antonio.
10:45 PM – Officer responded to 100 Blk. of South Wind to assist Atascosa Co. with trespassers.
June 4
11:34 AM – Officer responded to 18800 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a verbal family disturbance.
1:10 PM – Officer responded to Hacienda Jaliscience to unlock a vehicle.
6:00 PM – Report of a train that was stopped blocking N Prairie St., Benton St., Somerset St., and McDonald St. The only streets open were Diaz and FM 2790 N. The engineer stated there was a problem in San Antonio and he was instructed to stop until further notice.
6:38 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of children crossing the stopped train to access the City Park. Officer checked the area, unable to locate.
6:59 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 N at FM 3175 for a report of a reckless driver on IH 35 N that exited at FM 3175. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
8:07 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 N Frontage Rd. to assist a stranded motorist blocking the lane. The officer and the driver were able to push the vehicle off the road and to a safe location while he waited for his father to arrive with a tow chain.
8:22 PM – While on patrol at 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. officer was flagged down by a motorist who reported that the had just been hit by a vehicle being driven by an unlicensed female. The mother of the driver was cited for permitting an unlicensed minor to operate a vehicle.
10:29 PM – Officer responded to 20 Blk of Luckey Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with a domestic disturbance.
June 5
12:08 AM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at Las Palomas Dr. to assist Atascosa Co. with a major accident that involved two vehicles and five people being transported to University Hospital.
4:05 AM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of a missing adult. Complainant stated he was supposed to meet with his adult son about two hours prior and he never showed up. The complainant stated he went to his house and his son did not answer his door or phone. Officer went to the son’s residence who answer the door and was asked to call the parents to set their minds at ease.
9:10 AM – Officer responded to the Police Station for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
9:27 AM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a report of several vehicle on location. The security company advised no one was supposed to be on site. Officer made location and made contact with a contractor on the site and identified the foreman. The company had permission to be at location.
2:32 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
2:37 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Adams St. for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
9:08 PM – Officer responded to Box House Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a pursuit, bail out of approximately 11 men and a semi-tractor that ended up in a person’s yard stuck during the pursuit.
10:39 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 for a report of a suspicious man walking down the road that might have been involved in the previous pursuit and bailout. The male was not involved in the pursuit and requested a courtesy ride back to Lytle. Officer provided him a courtesy ride.
10:44 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a verbal disturbance between a customer and the manager.
June 6
1:18 AM – While conducting a building check at Burger King, officer located the back door open and a small black SUV backed into a parking spot. The building was empty and most lights were off. Officer walked back outside and the SUV was gone. Officer closed the back door.
1:28 AM – While conducting a building check at Subway, officer discovered a man sitting behind the building and drinking from a case of beers. Officer recognized the man from an earlier courtesy ride. The man was on his phone and stated his friend was on her way to pick him up.
2:12 AM – Officer responded to Box House Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. with attempting to locate a suspicious white pick-up. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
4:14 AM – Officer responded to AutoZone for a report of a suspicious vehicle occupied by two sleeping people. Officer spoke to the driver who stated he was having battery problems and was waiting for the store to open to fix it.
1:50 PM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a report of an alarm. Officer found the demolition crew working.
3:53 PM – Officer responded to Wisdom Rd. at Lake St. for a report of illegal dumping. Officer was advised that a white Ford F150 occupied by a male and a female dropped off two loads of trash at intersection.
5:01 PM – Officer responded to Little Caesar’s for a report of a two vehicle crash.
8:26 PM – Officer responded to Main St. for a report of a gray SUV speeding and driving on the shoulder recklessly. Officer located the only gray SUV and it was speeding. The driver denied reckless driving and was given a written warning.
9:02 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Harbour St. for a report of loud music. Officer located the source of music and spoke to the intoxicated resident who agreed to turn it down.
