Lytle Police Report June 24-30

June 24
8:30 AM – Officer took custody of a stolen handgun that was recovered by SAPD. The revolver was taken in a vehicle burglary in 2014.
1:20 PM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ for a report of 3 men asking for money. Upon arrival, officer was unable to locate anyone.
3:32 PM – Officers responded to Main St. at McDonald St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
5:30 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to obtaining a title for a motorcycle he was purchasing.
5:58 PM – Officer responded to FM 2790 N at Old Frio City Rd. to assist Texas DPS Highway Patrol with a 2 vehicle crash.
6:04 PM – Officer responded to Bealls for a report of a theft. Two males and one female suspects left the store with approximately $740 worth of cologne & perfume sets.
7:40 PM – Traffic stop at 15000 Blk. of Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 46-year-old male driver for Driving While License Suspended. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
8:51 PM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
11:55 PM – Officer responded to 19800 Blk. of IH 35 N and red tagged an abandoned vehicle.
June 25
1:40 AM – Traffic stop at S Benton St. and Magnolia St. resulted in the arrest of a 41-year-old male subject for Driving While License Invalid and No Insurance. A glass methamphetamine pipe was found in the glove box and subject was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
9:28 AM – Complainant called the Police Station in reference to a missing person.
11:40 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to her 2014 Ford F150 allegedly being struck by another vehicle while at HEB Plus on 6/24/19.
4:20 PM – Officer responded to Chevron and talked to complainant in reference to information request.
4:59 PM – Officers responded to Tots to Teens P-Lot to unlock a vehicle.
5:47 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a single vehicle crash.
6:25 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Post Office and assisted a stranded motorist with a jump start.
7:03 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for a report of a welfare check due to no answer on any of the facility phone lines. Officer spoke with an employee who stated their network was experiencing problems causing the phone problems.
7:11 PM – Officer responded to Coalmine Subdivision for a report of a suspicious male walking around and looking into yards. Officer located the male subject who stated he was playing the Pokémon game and that there was a virtual training arena in the Coalmine area.
7:45 PM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of D’Hanis St. for a report of a medical panic alarm. Officer arrived at address and it was determined the panic alarm was pressed by a 15 YO child as a result of a domestic disturbance between the child’s mother and the mother’s ex-boyfriend. The mother stated the disturbance was verbal and the other party had already fled prior to officer’s arrival.
June 26
12:45 AM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Office St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a male patient having diabetes complications.
6:20 AM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
8:36 AM – Officer released property to rightful owner.
8:30 PM – Officer responded to Ala Blanca Dr. to assist Atascosa Co. with a 911 call made on a cell phone. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
June 27
12:38 AM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of N. Prairie St. for a report of a domestic disturbance. The victim was allegedly assaulted by her boyfriend. The suspect departed prior to officer’s arrival. Case under investigation.
12:55 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB Frontage Rd. at FM 3175 for a report of a crash. Upon arrival, officer noted the pickup truck had crashed off the roadway and stuck in the creek. A 42-year-old male subject was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
12:24 PM – Officers responded to 15200 Blk. of Park Place Dr. for a report of an alarm. All was secure.
1:23 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a report of a welfare check on a child left unattended in a vehicle. Officer spoke with the parent and advised of the law regarding leaving a child in a vehicle.
4:20 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 132 SB to assist a motorist that struck a tow hitch on the highway that resulted with a broken wheel. The motorist changed the tire.
7:00 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
June 28
1:00 AM – Officers responded to El Bufalo Pawn for a report of an alarm. Officers found the building to be secure.
1:22 AM – Officers responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a suspicious male. Officers made contact with an individual who was changing his tire due to him having a blowout on the road.
4:30 AM – Officers responded to Lytle Donut Shop for a report of a male subject who walked into the business asking to use the phone. Complainant indicated the male appeared to be in distress. The male departed in an unknown direction.
5:15 AM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
7:30 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a 2002 Ford F350 that was taken from the front parking lot of the business.
9:30 AM – While investigating the previous case at 19800 Blk. of IH 35 N, a small orange clear bag with crystal-like substance in it was found on the ground. The bag was seized into evidence for safekeeping.
2:00 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported his storage unit at Lytle Mini Storage was burglarized. A Stihl weed eater valued at $150 was taken.
2:04 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a woman asking for money on property. Officer made contact with the female and asked her to leave.
4:45 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a possible hit & run. Officer was advised the damage on the vehicle was old damage, no report needed.
5:00 PM – Officer responded to 14600 Blk. of FM 2790 S and talked to complainant in reference to ex-employees entering the building after hours. Officer was advised that employees that no longer worked there were no longer allowed at property. Extra patrols were requested.
5:05 PM – Officer responded to AutoZone for a report of a stolen wallet.
6:27 PM – Officers responded to El Bufalo Pawn for a report of a civil matter – property dispute.
7:31 PM – Officers responded to 14800 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of an abandoned 1995 Ford F250 parked on the roadway causing a traffic hazard. Vehicle was impounded.
8:50 PM – Officer responded to N Prairie St. at Laredo St. and talked to complainant in reference to threats. Extra patrol requested.
8:55 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Main St. for a report of dogs being in the middle of the street. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
8:56 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
11:49 PM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Cottage St. for a report of a suspicious man standing in the parking lot across the street from the caller’s house. Turned out to be the caller’s neighbor talking on the phone.
June 29
3:41 AM– While on patrol at 19500 Blk. of McDonald St. officers were flagged down by a civilian who reported suspicious activity that occurred at Best Western Plus. Officer made contact with the individual in question.
3:53 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of two suspicious vehicles in the parking lot. One was a guest that was doing burnouts in the parking lot but got into their room prior to officer’s arrival. The second was a man dropping off his girlfriend so she could pick up her car from the parking lot.
9:56 AM – Officer responded to The Mill Parking Lot for a report of a two vehicle crash.
11:55 AM – Officer responded to Whataburger to unlock a vehicle.
12:36 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. and talked to complainant in regards to the location of local cemeteries. Officer gave the complainant directions.
2:52 PM – Officers responded to 19600 Blk. of Gray St. for a report of a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, it was discovered there was a back yard party and a child was calling on his mother’s cell phone. Everything was oaky.
4:40 PM – Officer responded to Valero to unlock a vehicle.
6:00 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported she left her purse in a shopping cart at HEB Plus and someone used her credit card at several locations. Case is under investigation.
10:45 PM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
11:20 PM – Officer responded to HEB Gas Station for a report of a rattlesnake at the fuel pumps. Officer arrived and found a 4 foot snake curled into the pump cradle. Officer dislodged the snake and relocated it to a grassy area.
11:30 PM – Officer made contact with two men and a female walking on the 19200 Blk. of McDonald St. with flashlights into a closed business. The three stated they were walking to HEB C-Store for snacks since the Valero had closed early.
June 30
12:31 AM – Officers responded to Park & Ride on FM 2790 E and made contact with a young male sleeping in a vehicle. The man is homeless and living in his truck for the time being.
12:55 AM – Officers responded to US Renal Care to assist a female motorist who asked for assistance with her car that had undercarriage damage from an unknown object on the interstate. Officers removed the damaged heat shield that was dragging on the road.
1:02 AM – While on patrol, officer provided a courtesy ride to a male subject to FM 3175.
3:38 AM – Officer responded to NAPA for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
9:05 AM – Officer responded to US Renal Care for a report of an alarm. Officer discovered a crew entered the rear door instead of the front door. All was okay.
10:43 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 133 SB to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with clearing clothing off the roadway.
11:38 AM – Officers responded to 15100 Blk. of Norvell St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a possible overdose. A female was discovered by her boyfriend in the bathroom, subject was transported to Southwest General Hospital.
2:09 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Mini Storage and talked to complainant in reference to several subjects who were dumping trash in the area. The complainant was not able to obtain a license plate number but the male stated he had a locker at the location.
2:20 PM – Officer responded to 19700 Blk. of Benton City Rd. and red tagged an abandoned vehicle.
3:14 PM – Officers responded to Dollar General for a report of a fight in progress at the location. Upon arrival, the suspects had stopped fighting and one had departed.
3:57 PM – Officer responded to 1800 Blk. of FM 2790 to assist Atascosa Co. with an EMS call.
5:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a two vehicle crash.
9:30 PM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn for an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
11:07 PM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn for an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
