Lytle Police Report June 21-27

June 21
1:02 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Railroad Crossings for a report of a stopped train blocking all crossings except for FM 2790 N.
10:26 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Cottage St. for a welfare check on a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, it was discovered the homeowner was on his riding mower and accidentally dialed 911.
3:18 PM – Officers responded to 14300 Blk. of Railroad St. for a welfare check on a 14 YO female in reference to an altercation that allegedly occur between 6/15/21 and 6/16/21. The case remains under investigation.
4:30 PM – Officers responded to AutoZone for a report of a hit & run.
June 22
1:38 AM – Officers responded to Churches assist Atascosa EMS with a man complaining of breathing problems. Officer provided the male with a courtesy ride to El Parador and assisted with some cash for food.
12:37 PM – Officers responded to Lytle State Bank for a report of a phone scam. Alert bank employees prevented a scam on an elderly female.
2:10 PM – Officer responded to Lake St. at N Benton St. for a report of a reckless driver travelling between 60-80 mph. The black Honda was reported to have temporary plates.
5:18 PM – Officer responded to Jardin de Mexico for a report of a subject walking in the area and pulling flowers from pots outside the location. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
6:36 PM – Officer responded to 700 Blk. of Las Palomas Dr. to assist Atascosa Co. with a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, the stove fire had been extinguished.
6:53 PM – Officer responded to FM 2790 at IH 35 to assist Atascosa Co. with locating a stolen vehicle coming off Hartung Rd. Lytle PD setup in case the vehicle came by, unable to locate.
9:19 PM – Officers provided an escort to a Lytle Little League Team.
9:32 PM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a suspicious male possibly armed with a gun. Officers made contact with the individual who stated he was receiving treatment at the Camino Real Crisis Center before deciding to leave and have his friend pick him up. The male did not have a gun nor pose any threat to himself.
11:09 PM – Officers responded to Whataburger to unlock a vehicle.
11:12 PM – Officer responded to Alexander Insurance for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
11:50 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Apartments for a welfare check on an elderly resident whose door was open. The resident sated she was ok and officers closed the door and window for her.
June 23
2:36 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store and assisted Atascosa Co. Deputy with a Warrant Arrest out of Medina Co.
5:34 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store and provided a courtesy ride to an adult male to the greyhound station downtown San Antonio.
8:30 AM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for security clearance purposes.
10:15 AM – Officers responded to Lytle Antiques & Emporium and conducted a security check/walk through of the business. All was secure.
10:55 AM – Officers responded to 15900 Blk. of Lake Shore Dr. for a report of an alarm.
10:53 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Apartments for a welfare check on an elderly resident who had her door open. Officer made contact with the resident and she stated it was hot inside her apartment and needed the door open.
10:53 PM – Officer responded to the 13300 Blk. of Juarez St. for a report of a rattlesnake inside a homeowner’s washroom.
June 24
6:10 AM – While patrolling the City Hall on foot, officer heard loud banging noises. Officer was unable to locate the sound.
10:58 AM – Officer responded to 4000 Blk. of IH 35 NB to assist Texas DPS with a one vehicle rollover.
4:00 PM – Officers responded to the Bakery Pub for a report of an 18 wheeler parked in front of the business that was getting ready to open. Officers located the driver and asked him to move it.
10:16 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 NB to assist Medina Co. with a vehicle pursuit coming out of Frio/Medina Co. Officer trailed along the Frontage Rd. as the pursuit continued northbound.
June 25
11:18 AM – Officer responded to Creek St. for a report of a suspicious male walking trailer to trailer. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
1:26 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a welfare check on two homeless men drinking at the park. All was okay.
1:48 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a hit & run. A photograph of the suspect vehicle was taken by HEB Management as it was making contact with the victim vehicle.
4:00 PM – Officer responded to N. Prairie St. for a report of a City Ordinance Violation, a door-to-door solicitor. Officer made contact with a 19 YO male and advised him a permit was required to sell in the city.
11:25 PM – Officers responded to CVS Pharmacy for a report of an alarm. Officers discovered the side door unlocked and could not be locked. Officers cleared the business and attempted to contact an employee.
June 26
7:46 AM – Officer responded to 15500 Blk. of Lake St. for a report of an alarm.
8:20 AM – Officer responded to Tots to Teens for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
8:27 AM – Officer attended to Farmers Market on the 19000 Blk. of McDonald St.
8:40 AM – Officer responded to Railroad St. and talked to complainant in reference to extra patrol.
10:30 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 at FM 2790 E for a report of a hit & run.
11:04 AM – Officer responded to Hacienda Jaliscience for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle departed prior to officer’s arrival.
11:33 AM – Officer responded to the Old Days Inn for a report of an alarm. The demolition company was on scene, no sign of criminal activity.
12:16 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. and assisted a passing motorist who needed directions to a business.
4:02 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 N to assist Medina Co. with locating a vehicle that had struck a guardrail. The vehicle was stopped at the Lytle city limits.
8:30 PM – Officer attended the Summer Shenanigans Chamber of Commerce dance at the John Lott Park.
8:46 PM – Officer responded to 18700 Blk. of FM 2790 N to assist the Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a report of a fire near the school. Officer spoke with the resident and advised him to extinguish the fire due to the wind and no burn permits being issued.
10:14 PM – Officers responded to 18900 Blk. of N Prairie St. for a report of a disturbance between two roommates.
11:11 PM – Officer responded to 18600 Blk. of FM 2790 N for a report of a suspicious vehicle. A compact blue vehicle was parked in front of the caller’s home with the headlights shining in her home with the trunk open. Officer observed the vehicle parked at the First Baptist Church about 10 minutes before being dispatched but when officer turned to the High School, the vehicle was gone. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
11:16 PM – Officer responded to Lytle State Bank for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer discovered a family with trying to get without enough money for fuel to make it home. Officer assisted with filling up their tank at the HEB Gas Station so they could get home.
11:35 PM – Office responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a disturbance between a husband and wife.
June 27
12:48 AM – Officer responded to Yumm #10 for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
1:03 AM – Officer responded to First Baptist Church for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The member was making bulletins for the Sunday service.
1:51 AM – Officers responded to Laredo St. at Easy St. for a report of a hit & run road rage incident.
3:02 AM – While patrolling at Magnolia St. and Benton St. officer observed a blacked out truck parked in front of a residence and occupied by a male. Officer spoke to the man who stated he was waiting for a woman to exit the house. The woman came out while officer was talking to the male and confirmed everything was okay.
6:40 AM – Officers responded to Main St. at Juarez St. to assist Atascosa EMS with an injured man in the road. Officers located a man who stated he jumped off the moving train. The male had a severed right foot and head injury and was transported to Atascosa EMS.
8:30 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. initiated field contact with a male concerning the complaints the Department has received concerning him and his father. The male agreed not to bother anybody or set up camp on any business properties.
12:15 PM – Officer attended the Fish Fry Luncheon at the Lytle United Methodist Church.
