Lytle Police Report July 22-28

July 22
1:15 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
7:03 AM – Officer responded to 14700 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm.
11:15 AM – Officers responded to 19400 Blk. of McDonald St. and talked to complainant in reference to an incident that occurred on June 18, 2019 at the Lil Red School.
2:30 PM – Officer responded to CVS Pharmacy for a report of a two vehicle crash.
2:56 PM – Officers responded to Blue Quail at Covey Dr. to assist Atascosa Co. with a Deputy not answering the radio. Prior to arrival, the officer answered his radio and all was fine.
3:34 PM – Officers responded to Valero for a report of a male subject on the property who was yelling at customers. The Valero manager did not want the subject on property. Subject was given a courtesy ride to IH 35 at Shephard Rd.
10:33 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store in reference to employees recognizing an individual who had committed a theft and wanted a criminal trespass warning issued. The suspect left prior to officer’s arrival.
11:22 PM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Main St. to unlock a vehicle.
July 23
11:09 AM – Officer responded to Culebra Meat Market to unlock a vehicle.
2:58 PM – Officer responded to Benton St. at Mesquite St. to unlock a vehicle.
3:31 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a report of a civil matter – property dispute.
4:48 PM – Officer responded to Twin Liquors for a report of a man who had purchased alcohol and was drinking in the parking lot. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
5:21 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to an unauthorized purchase that was made at McDonald’s in Lytle. The Complainant later called and stated the unauthorized purchase was an error by the bank and no cards had actually been used to withdraw funds or make purchases.
9:26 PM – Officer responded to 18800 Blk. of N Prairie St. for a report of a natural death.
11:27 PM – Officer responded to US Renal Care for a business alarm.
July 24
2:02 AM – Officer responded to Lytle High School for a report of a fire alarm. Officer arrived and found it to be a false alarm.
10:15 AM – Officer responded to N Benton St. at Main St. to unlock a vehicle.
11:46 AM – Officers responded to Vape House for a report of an alarm. Officers arrived and found the side door unlocked and partially open. Officers cleared the business and locked the door on the way out. No signs of criminal activity.
2:01 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for a report of a female patient who walked out of the facility. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
2:34 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Starcross Trail for a report of a stolen 2010 Black Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
10:16 PM – Traffic stop at Main St. and FM 2790 N resulted in the arrest of a 31-year-old female subject for Possession of Marijuana < 2oz. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
July 25
10:18 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
4:28 PM – Officer responded to 200 Blk. of Meadow Brook Dr. to assist with a male subject that ran into a residence and was detained by the homeowner.
7:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle. The smell of marijuana was detected emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and marijuana was located. A 23-year-old female subject was arrested for Possession of Marijuana < 2 0z. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
10:54 PM – Traffic stop at 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. resulted in the recovery of a stolen vehicle out of our department, a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado. The driver, a 25-year-old male subject, was arrested for Evading with a Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle. The passenger, a 31-year-old male subject, was also arrested for unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle. Both subjects were transported to Atascosa Co. Jail and the vehicle was released to the owner.
July 26
1:18 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a suspicious male walking in the area. Officer made contact with individual that stated he was just asking for a cigarette. He departed without incident.
8:30 AM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for employment purposes.
9:00 AM – Officer responded to 15600 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a theft of a flatbed 16 foot trailer. Total estimated loss $600.
12:50 PM – Officer was flagged down on Easy St. and Cottage St. by a passing motorist who needed directions to get to the Lil’ Red Schoolhouse. The citizen followed the officer to the location.
2:10 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a welfare check on a dog that was left inside a vehicle. Officer arrived and found the vehicle running and the owner of the vehicle arrived. The dog was okay.
7:15 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at FM 3175 for a report of a two vehicle crash.
8:07 PM – Officer responded to Tom Cate Law Office for a report of an alarm. Officer arrived and found the building to be secure.
July 27
1:15 AM – Officer initiated a field contact with a suspicious individual at the 15000 Blk. of Main St. The individual had just been discharged from Camino Real. Officer provided a courtesy ride to her residence.
2:10 AM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of a hit & run. The suspect fled the scene. He was later arrested for DWI. Complainant did not want to file a crash report.
2:20 AM – Traffic stop at Morales Seed and Feed resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old male subject for Driving While Intoxicated. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail. A 56-year-old male passenger and a 40-year-old male passenger were arrested for Public Intoxication. Both were cited and released to a family member.
4:48 AM – Officer initiated a field contact with a suspicious individual at N. Somerset St. and Adams St. The pedestrian turned out to be a local resident.
7:30 AM – Traffic stop at N. Prairie St. and Laredo St. resulted in the arrest of a 42-year-old male subject for DWLI with previous convictions. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail and the vehicle was impounded.
9:45 AM – Officer located an abandoned vehicle at Ball Rd. Officer red tagged the vehicle.
5:10 PM – Officer responded to 18800 Blk. of N. Benton St. for a report of a water leak. Officer located the leak and forwarded the information to Lytle Public Works Director.
6:10 PM – Officer was flagged down by a motorist who stated the doors at Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. were open and no one was present. Officer arrived and checked both stations and all was secure.
July 28
2:28 AM – Officers responded to 15200 Blk. of Cottage St. for a report of a disturbance. A 59-year-old female subject was arrested for Assault Bodily Injury. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
6:45 AM – Officers responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 131 SB for a report of a traffic hazard. Officers arrived and located a bus getting a tire changed but the vehicle was not blocking the roadway.
7:57 AM – Officer responded to 17800 Blk. of Ball Rd. for a report of a civil matter – property dispute.
8:21 AM – Officer responded to 16200 Blk. of Ethan’s Crossing for a report of a stolen vehicle. An unknown person(s) stole a Gold 2017 Ford F250. It was taken between 10:35 pm on Saturday night and 1:25 am Sunday morning.
2:46 PM – Officers responded to 14800 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a unruly 10 YO and 13 YO boys. Officers spoke with the children on the parents behalf.
3:15 PM – Officer responded to CR 6841 to unlock a vehicle.
6:27 PM – Officer responded to 15600 Blk. of CR 681 for a report of a suspicious person who tried to pry open complainant’s front door on July 24, 2019. It was later determined that a family member had to break into the residence to assist the elderly female.
9:56 PM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a male that left the location and threatened to kill complainant. Investigation determined that the incident did not happen and that complaint had been drinking. A 43-year-old male subject was arrested for Public Intoxication. He was cited and released.
