Lytle Police Report Jan. 21-27

Jan. 21
6:17 AM – Officers responded to Lytle Mini Storage for a report of a burglary. Officers arrived and made contact with complainant who stated an unknown person(s) broke into two units but was not sure if anything was stolen. Complainant was going to contact the owners of the units.
12:49 PM – Officers responded to 18800 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a disturbance. Officers spoke to subjects involved, no offense occurred.
8:15 PM – Officers responded to 19300 Blk. of S. Somerset St. for a report of a major water leak. Officers turned the water off but the leak was inside the residence.
11:27 PM – Officers responded to FM 2790 for a report of livestock on the roadway. Officers found the steer and it was led into a residence on FM 2790.
Jan. 22
2:46 AM – Officer responded to US Renal Care for a report of an alarm. Officers found the building to be secure.
5:05 AM – Officers responded to First St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
11:15 AM – Officers responded to Lytle Mini Storage and conducted a follow up investigation on a burglary of a storage unit. Officers spoke with both renters of storage units and only one reported missing items (two old jackets).
11:50 AM – Officers responded to John’s Small Engine for a report of a civil matter – property dispute.
12:42 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a natural death.
2:19 PM – Officers responded to VSC Insurance to unlock a vehicle.
2:55 PM – Officers responded to Main St. at Somerset St. for a report of a vehicle parked on the improved shoulder with hazard lights on. Upon arrival, officers made contact with witnesses who stated the vehicle’s driver left the vehicle there due to running out of gas at approximately 11 am but never returned. Officers impounded the vehicle due to traffic hazard.
7:20 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to child custody. Officer referred complainant to Bexar Co. due to jurisdiction.
8:05 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a civil matter – child custody.
Jan. 23
3:31 AM – Officers responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. Officers made contact with the driver and passenger. The driver stated he was going to sleep in his vehicle due to the fact he could not get a room for being under 25. Officer advised the driver he could not sleep there and needed to leave. Officer suggested the rest area across from Lytle State Bank.
12:30 PM – Officer red tagged an abandoned vehicle at 19700 Blk. of IH 35 S.
7:19 PM – Officers responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for a welfare check on a resident. Offices spoke with an individual who was requesting to be taken to a different location for medical aid. Atascosa EMS arrived and evaluated individual then transported him to University Hospital for further medical help and evaluation.
Jan. 24
12:00 PM – Officer responded to City Hall for a lost wallet that was turned in. Officer contacted the owner and the wallet was returned.
8:55 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
9:05 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General to assist Atascosa Co. with a burglary in action. Investigation determined incident was a theft.
9:54 PM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Star Cross Trail to assist Atascosa EMS with a call.
Jan. 25
1:28 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers made contact with occupant of the vehicle who stated he was left there after getting into a fight with the driver of the vehicle. The occupant was picked up by a family member.
7:55 AM – Officer responded to 18200 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a natural death.
9:32 AM – Officer responded to Family Dollar to unlock a vehicle.
4:50 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported that his backpack with contents was missing from the John Lott Park on Monday.
9:09 PM – Officer responded to 19000 Blk. of Live Oak St. for a report of a possibly downed power line. Officer arrived and noticed a loose line, there was no tension on it between two poles but it was intact and well above any hazardous condition. Officer suggested complainant called CPS Energy and report it to them.
Jan. 26
12:00 AM – Officers responded to HEB Plus and provided a courtesy ride.
6:21 AM – Officers responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a theft from a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the owner who stated a radio was stolen from his truck.
11:50 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Apartments to unlock a vehicle.
12:10 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a disturbance. Officer checked the area, unable to locate.
4:14 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at the Atascosa River to assist Atascosa Co. with a suspicious vehicle.
5:00 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
11:22 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S for a report of a 4 door sedan tailgating another vehicle. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
Jan. 27
12:15 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer spoke with the vehicle occupant who stated she was waiting for a friend to rent a room who was in a separate vehicle. Officer confirmed the story with the hotel clerk.
12:40 AM – Officer responded to FM 2790 at IH 35 N Frontage Rd. for a report of a suspicious person. Officer made contact with the individual who stated he had just gotten off work at Whataburger.
2:34 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. Officer discovered a car parked and occupied by three males. Inside the vehicle there were two pellet pistols made to resemble real firearms. The males had no reason to be at the hotel and were asked to leave.
6:50 AM – Officer responded to South Texas Renal Care for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
1:55 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus to issue a criminal trespass warning at the request of management.
4:30 PM – Officers responded to FM 463 at CR 6712 to assist Natalia Fired Dept. on a call.
4:52 PM – Officer responded to Bill Millers BBQ to unlock a vehicle.
9:24 PM – Officer responded to 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of an assault. Officer spoke with a male who stated he had gotten into a verbal argument with his wife. He stated he had been drinking and agreed to stay the night at his parent’s house. Case under investigation.
