Lytle Police Report Feb. 5-11

Feb. 5
6:41 AM – Officer responded to the 14400 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an 81 YO female missing from her residence. Extensive search of the area by Lytle PD, Atascosa Co. SO and Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. resulted in the discovery of the female by a neighbor. She was returned to her daughter.
1:24 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
1:26 PM – Officer responded to the 14900 Blk. of Main St. for a report of individual(s) selling perfume. Officer checked the area, unable to locate.
Feb. 6
11:15 AM – Officers responded to Hurley’s Funeral Home and provided funeral escort.
2:32 PM – Officers responded to Fox Run to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a mentally disturbed person. The male was transported to area hospital by Atascosa EMS.
4:24 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of an intoxicated pedestrian in the parking lot. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
7:50 PM – Officer responded to McDonald’s for a report of a possible intoxicated male using the Redbox. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
Feb. 7
12:14 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
8:40 AM – Officers responded to IH 35 Frontage Rd. to assist with traffic control for a trail ride coming into town.
10:30 AM – Officers responded to Morales Feed and Seed to assist with traffic control for a trail ride leaving town.
12:40 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to a hit and run that occurred 2/3/18 at HEB Plus.
3:58 PM – Officers responded to Big Tex Trailers to assist with traffic control for a trail ride coming into town.
7:18 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
7:27 AM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a driver in a road rage incident following the complainant. Officer searched the area, unable to locate. Officer escorted the complainant for safety purposes.
Feb. 8
4:58 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Officer checked the building and found no evidence of criminal activity. Building was secure.
5:03 AM – Officer responded to 1 Mile West of FM 2790 on FM 463 to assist Medina Co. with a 1 vehicle crash due to horses on the roadway.
12:20 PM – Situation Officers responded to Main St. at McDonald St. for a report of a hazardous container of fluid laying on the road. The driver stated a container slid off the flatbed and landed on the road at the intersection. The road was shut down until the container could be removed.
1:17 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile 130 SB to assist Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. with a reported 18 wheeler on fire. Officer arrived to find the 18 wheeler with overheated brakes which caused a grass fire.
5:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
Feb. 9
10:46 AM – Officer responded to Trinity Baptist Church to unlock a vehicle.
11:32 AM – Officer responded to Lytle State Bank to unlock a vehicle.
1:30 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station to talk to an officer in reference to a suspicious female who attempted to come onto complainant’s property. Complainant stated the female was harassing her husband. Extra patrols requested.
2:55 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S at City Limits for a report of a strap in the roadway. Officer slowed down traffic so the owner could retrieve it.
3:05 PM – Officer responded to Railroad St. for a report of the train stopped in town blocking all crossings. Officer contacted railroad staff who advised another train had broken down just north of Lytle causing this one to stop. Train began moving again after a short stop.
6:55 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of an unknown male driving a black Toyota pickup whistling at a HEB female employee. Unknown male departed prior to officer’s arrival.
Feb. 10
12:40 AM – Suspicious Person Officer responded to Days Inn for a report of a suspicious female yelling in the parking lot. Officer was unable to locate.
1:35 AM – Officer responded to O’Reilly Auto Parts for a report of damage to the front of the building. It appeared as if a vehicle jumped the curb and struck the building.
4:45 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB at Mile Marker 129 to assist Medina Co. with a motorcycle accident.
10:40 PM – Officer responded to 19000 Blk. of Mason St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer made contact with one male subject sleeping in the driver seat. The male subject stated he could not find his home and had a hard time seeing at night. Officer escorted the male subject to his residence located on Wisdom Rd.
Feb. 11
6:46 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Short St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
11:50 AM – Officer responded to 100 Blk. of CR 6842 for a report of an assault. One half of party departed prior to officer’s arrival. A written statement was taken from a male party who wished to pursue charges.
1:45 PM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Cottage St. for a report of a theft. A tailgate was taken from a white Chevy Silverado pickup between the hours of 12PM on 2/10/18 and 9AM on 2/11/18.
8:55 PM – Officer responded to 70 N. First St. and assisted Atascosa Co. Deputy with a disturbance.
10:54 PM – Officer responded to Community National Bank for an alarm. Officer arrived and found the building to be secure. No evidence of criminal activity noted.
