Lytle Police Report Aug. 2-8

August 2
7:23 AM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a female that arrived at 4:45 am trying to get into the store looking for her daughter and grandchild. Upon arrival, officers were familiar with the female and contacted her husband to pick her up.
10:45 AM – Officers responded to St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and provided funeral escort to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
12:00 PM – Officer conducted business checks throughout the city. Around 31 businesses were contacted.
4:55 PM – Officer was flagged down by a resident to inform the officer that a vehicle just outside the city limits on IH 35 on the side of the road had been stripped overnight. Officer located a 1999 Chevrolet pickup registered out of San Antonio and was not reported stolen. The tires and wheels had been removed and the vehicle was sitting on the ground.
8:10 PM – Officer responded to Bad Vibes Studio for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
8:40 PM – Officers responded to 19400 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a suspicious male carrying a knife. Officers searched the area, unable to locate the male subject.
9:00 PM – Officer responded to Quicksilver Automotive for a report of a suspicious vehicle with its lights on behind the business. Officers discovered the vehicle’s lights were left on by the shop.
August 3
3:15 AM – Officer responded to Subway and patrolled the area to ensure the male subject from the previous day wielding a knife was not in the vicinity.
3:56 AM – Officers responded to Benton City Rd. at IH 35 SB Frontage Rd. for a report of a black Cadillac Escalade wrecked in a ditch. The vehicle was unoccupied but with major damage. The vehicle was towed.
6:00 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer about a possible identity theft. The complainant stated a loan for $10,000 was withdrawn under her name without her knowing about it. The complainant was referred to the three major credit bureaus to dispute the transactions.
10:36 PM – Traffic stop at Main St. and Bank St. resulted in the arrest of a 60-year-old male subject for Driving While Intoxicated. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail and the vehicle was impounded.
August 4
4:02 AM – A male subject called the Atascosa Co. S.O. to request a courtesy ride to Haven for Hope. Officer provided the male subject a courtesy ride to the Loves on Fischer Rd.
6:20 PM – Officer responded to Exxon for a report of an unknown person(s) that entered the complainant’s storage unit and stole a refrigerator, a mini-ATV and tires and rims. Total estimated loss $4,500.
7:35 PM – Officer responded to Pecan Grove Apartments for a report of a stolen 1999 Chevy Trailblazer.
August 5
10:55 AM – Officers provided a funeral escort from St. Andrews Church to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
2:00 PM – Officer dispatched to US Renal Care Tri-County Dialysis to unlock a vehicle.
3:20 PM – Officers dispatched to Bill Miller BBQ to unlock a vehicle.
3:20 PM – Officers responded to 100 Blk. E. Road Runner to assist the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Department with a domestic disturbance.
7:00 PM – Officers dispatched to IH 35 S. @ McDonald Street for a report of a reckless driver.
8:47 PM – Officers responded to the Lytle Primary School for an activated alarm.
11:35 PM – Officers responded to the HEB Plus for a suspicious vehicle.
August 6
8:58 AM – Officer responded to the 19200 Blk of N. Somerset for a report of illegal dumping.
1:55 PM – Officer responded to the 19400 Blk of S. Somerset to unlock a vehicle.
4:00 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Dental for an activated alarm.
5:39 PM – Officer responded to Bad Vibes Studio for an activated alarm.
11:42 PM – Officers responded to the HEB C-Store for a welfare check on an individual. The individual was deemed to be a danger to himself and was detained and transported to a San Antonio area hospital for medical evaluation.
August 7
8:30 AM – Officer initiated a traffic stop on FM 3175 @ IH 35 for a vehicle registration violation. The driver, a 58-year-old male subject, was arrested for an active Medina County Arrest Warrant/Violation of Probation original charge of Obstruction of Highway/Passageway. The subject was booked into the Medina County Jail.
8:30 AM – Officer responded to the TxDot Park & Ride for a theft report. Unknown person(s) cut the catalytic convertor off a vehicle. The loss is estimated at $400.
11:55 AM – Officers provided a funeral escort from First Baptist Church to the Lytle Community Cemetery.
1:12 PM – Officers responded to the 17000 Blk of Rocky Circle to assist EMS with a patient.
1:57 PM – Report of a civil matter in the 19300 Blk of McDonald Street.
3:45 PM – Officer responded to Main @ Somerset Street for a disabled vehicle blocking the roadway.
6:01 PM – Officer responded to the 100 Blk of W. Bob White Road to assist the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Department with a call for service.
7:17 PM – Officers initiated contact with a suspicious person at the MC Storage Unit. After further investigation it was determined that the individual had a right to be on the premises.
8:10 PM – Officers responded to the Exxon for a possible shoplifter that departed the store on foot. The subject was located and detained for questioning. The store employee was unable to determine if merchandise was taken so the subject was released.
8:36 PM – Officers responded to the 19700 Blk of Bruce Street for a cell phone 911 hang up. The area was searched, and the caller was not located.
9:31 PM – Officers responded to the Exxon for an unruly customer. The individual was given a courtesy ride to his residence.
August 8
2:15 AM – Officers were conducting a business check on the 14000 Blk. of Main Street and located an unsecured door. No sign of criminal activity.
7:50 AM – Report of 2 suspicious vehicles in the parking lot at the Lytle Crossing.
10:57 AM – Officer responded to the True Value for a welfare check.
11:03 AM – Report of a minor vehicle accident in the parking lot of the Dollar Tree.
2:15 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Dental for a burglar alarm.
5:49 PM – Officer responded to the 19700 Blk IH 35 S. Access for a truck tractor creating a traffic hazard.
5:55 PM – Officer responded to the 15300 Blk S. Pecan St. for a report of a civil matter.
7:43 PM – Officers assisted Lytle EMS with a patient on the 15000 Blk. of Harbour Street.
8:39 PM – Officers responded to the 14900 Blk. of Main Street for a suspicious vehicle.
11:29 PM – Officers responded to the Live Oak Street for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area.
11:50 PM – Officers discovered a missing stop at the intersection of Laredo @ N. Somerset. A temporary stop sign was placed at the intersection.
