Lytle Police Report April 2-8


April 2

10:00 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to illegal dumping in a dumpster behind Brush Country Realty.
11:59 AM – Officers responded to Lytle Vet Clinic to unlock a vehicle.
3:51 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock vehicle that was not running. Officer arrived and unlocked the vehicle with a 9 month old locked inside. Atascosa EMS arrived and checked the child, all was fine.
5:28 PM – Officer responded to Railroad St. at McDonald St. for a report of a reckless driver. Officer was unable to locate.
6:16 PM – Officer met with complainant at the Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. who wanted to report an incident that occurred during a child custody exchange.
April 3
2:00 AM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Starcross Trail to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
2:49 PM – Officer responded to 16000 Blk. of White Cap Dr. for a report of a male in all black going door to door soliciting. Officer located 3 subjects soliciting without a permit. The subjects were cited for Soliciting without a Permit and released.
5:28 PM – Officer responded to McDonald’s for a report of a hit and run.
9:41 PM – Officer responded to Morales Feed & Supply for an alarm.
April 4
7:36 AM – Officer responded to Lytle State Bank for a report of a person sleeping in the back of the bank and complainant wanted someone to check on him. Officer arrived and made contact with a young man who was headed to Brownsville but got turned around. All was fine.
8:49 AM – Officer responded to JD’s Small Engine Repair for a report of criminal mischief, back roll-up door pushed open and someone possibly made entry. Nothing appears to be taken.
4:30 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported a lost small pouch that contained $20 and his TXDL.
6:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a suspicious person looking into cars. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
9:28 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus (19300 Blk. of McDonald St.) for a report of an intoxicated driver going in circles at location. Officer checked the area, unable to locate.
April 5
3:28 AM – Officer responded to US Renal Care for an alarm.
10:45 AM – Officer responded to Hurley Funeral Home provided a funeral escort to Lytle Community Cemetery.
11:58 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a welfare check on children left unattended in a running vehicle. Officer arrived and located the vehicle, a minute or so later the parent came out of the store. A female subject was cited for Child Left in Vehicle – Less than seven and no fourteen or Older in Vehicle.
12:17 PM – Officer responded to 19400 Blk. of FM 2790 N to unlock a vehicle.
12:55 PM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of Florence St. to unlock a residence.
12:56 PM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn to unlock a vehicle.
2:45 PM – Officer responded to Valero Corner Store to unlock a vehicle.
8:25 PM – Traffic stop at 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old male subject for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and having an Active Warrant out of Wilson Co. for Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 < 1g. The motorcycle was reported stolen out of San Antonio PD. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
April 6
1:00 PM – Officer responded to Family Dollar and talked to complainant who reported an unknown Hispanic male who took an estimated amount of $10 worth of candy without paying it. Suspect was captured on camera, complainant did not want to file charges only wanted officers to be aware so a criminal trespass warning could be issued in the future.
1:06 PM – Officer responded to Coalmine at railroad tracks for a reported train that was stopped and blocking the exit. Officer found the train to be blocking all exits in town with the exception of Pine St. The train was later moving and the crossings were all cleared.
1:21 PM – Officer responded to Valero Corner Store for a report of an unruly customer. Complainant wanted officer to file a criminal trespass but officer was unable to locate customer.
2:25 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a male suspect who ran out of the store with two 18 packs of Bud Light Beer. The suspect got into an older model single cab Chevrolet as a passenger and drove off.
4:05 PM – Complainant turned in property found at the John Lott Park Little League baseball field.
6:42 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a male suspect who was dressed like a construction worker and left the store with a 24 oz. of Smirnoff Ice Beer in his pocket. The suspect failed to stop and jumped in a pickup with numerous other males.
April 7
1:16 AM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of criminal mischief. An unknown person(s) allegedly shattered the rear window of a 2008 Ford Explorer that was parked in the driveway of the residence. A shattered beer bottle was observed near the rear of vehicle.
3:22 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S for a report of a reckless driver running vehicles off the interstate. Officer was unable to locate.
5:00 PM – Officer responded to Bealls for a report of a naked man inside the Bealls restroom. Officer located the man who stated he was just using the restroom. Subject was released after a short discussion about bathroom etiquette.
8:00 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a suspicious female. The female was issued a criminal trespass warning and released. The female loaded numerous items in a shopping cart and left the cart in the store. Complainant believed she was going to attempt to steal the merchandise therefore did not want her back on the property.
April 8
2:50 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of a suspicious male looking through a truck with a flashlight. Officer made contact with the male suspect who advised he was looking for the keys to his truck. The male was identified and released.
1:46 PM – Officer responded to 18600 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a dog that was hanging out at complainant’s front door and possibly belonged to a neighbor. Animal Control was notified.
10:15 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Mini Storage for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer was unable to locate.
