Lytle Police Report April 1-7

April 1
2:48 AM – While on patrol, officer noticed a suspicious male in the Dollar General parking lot on a bicycle. Officer made contact with subject who stated he was on his way home to Natalia.
8:10 AM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of IH 35 S to assist Bexar Co. with a reckless driver.
8:30 AM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for employment purposes.
2:15 PM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for employment purposes.
4:15 PM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for employment purposes.
4:30 PM – Officer responded to 17900 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a stray donkey. The donkey was temporarily pinned up at the location until the owner can be located.
5:05 PM – Officer responded to 14300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a suspicious male walking near the property. A blue van was seen parked in front of the residence. The vehicle departed prior to officer’s arrival.
9:17 PM – Officers responded to 18800 Blk. of N. Pecan St. for a report of suspicious individual walking around. Officers searched the area unable to locate.
April 2
12:15 AM – Officers responded to Bill Miller BBQ to assist Medina Co. with a subject who threatened to be suicidal.
8:08 AM – Officers responded to 19600 Blk. of Benton St. for a report of a welfare check on a 17 YO female. Officers were not able to locate the female but were able to locate her at the Lytle High School. Officers spoke with the female who stated she was fine.
11:27 AM – Officer responded to Sun Loan for a report of an alarm. Officer arrived and discovered an employee had accidentally triggered the alarm when he thought he had put it in test mode.
12:50 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
2:22 PM – Officer responded to 18800 Blk. of N. Prairie St. and talked to complainant in regards to a 13 YO child who had run away from Country Breeze Counseling located at FM 463. Officer located the child and returned him home without incident.
2:27 PM – Officer responded to Bruce St. and talked to complainant in regards to extra patrols.
3:45 PM – Officer responded to Hwy. 132 at Somerset St. for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
4:14 PM – Officer responded to CVS Pharmacy for a report of a shoplifter. The suspect abandoned the basket and departed on foot towards Hurley Funeral Home. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
April 3
1:24 AM – While on patrol, officers noticed the train was stopped blocking most of the crossings in town. Officer made contact with the conductor who stated their computer went down and they were trying to get the train moving.
7:05 AM – Officer responded to 800 Blk. of Wildflower to assist Atascosa Co. with a 911 call regarding a disturbance.
8:35 AM – Officer responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a civil matter – tenant dispute.
8:55 AM – Officer responded to 17900 Blk. of FM 2790 N for a report of a possible cat dumping. Officer spoke with the suspect who denied the allegation.
10:17 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a welfare check on a suspicious person. Officer located the individual and made contact. All was okay.
10:50 AM – Officer talked to complainant in regards to suspicious activity just outside of the city on CR 6854.
3:10 AM – While on patrol officer made contact with a passing motorist who reported heavy traffic /speeders in the morning hours by N. Prairie St.
5:35 PM – Officer responded to 200 Blk. of Naegelin Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. Deputies with a warrant service. A Felony Warrant was served.
8:54 PM – Officer responded to 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. to speak with complainant in regards to text messages received from a family member. Complainant was concerned about the safety of family member. Officer conducted a welfare check on family member at his residence and resulted in an Emergency Detention. Subject was transported to Southwest General Hospital for an evaluation.
April 4
2:34 AM – Traffic stop at Oak St and Benton St. resulted in the arrest of a 43 YO male subject who was asleep behind the wheel. Subject was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense and transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
10:20 AM – While on patrol, officer observed two men throwing trash from their pickup truck into a dumpster located in the Washateria. Both men claimed to have permission from the owner, officer was unable to verify with the owner.
1:05 PM – Officer responded to 18600 Blk. of N. Benton St. to unlock a vehicle.
1:15 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S for a report of a stolen vehicle being followed by the caller. Both vehicles were inside Medina Co. before officer arrived at interstate.
6:00 PM – Officer responded to St. Andrew’s Church for a report of a verbal disturbance between a mother and her 11 YO daughter.
7:40 PM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn and talked to complainant in reference to a solicitor at the HEB gas station selling fake gold. Officer talked to employees at the pawn shop and was advised that several other customers had been going to the pawn shop with the same story.
8:54 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Main St. for a report of loud music. Officer made contact with the resident and advised her to keep the music down.
April 5
12:06 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a baggie of marijuana that was turned into an employee by a customer. Property was seized by officer and put into evidence locker.
6:28 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Methodist Church for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer located the vehicle and made contact with the driver who stated he was a Mesquite Lawn Care employee who was waiting to meet up with the rest of the crew.
7:18 AM – Officer responded to Colonial Farms Child Care to unlock a vehicle.
12:20 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Veterinary Clinic for a report of a man skateboarding at the property. Officer located the subject and spoke to him about not returning to the property. Subject agreed not to return.
3:51 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to a harassment.
6:00 PM – Officer responded to 20400 Blk. of IH 35 S to assist Atascosa Co. with an 18 wheeler that had a blowout that was stuck in the median near oncoming traffic.
7:58 PM – Officer responded to 14600 Blk. of S FM 2790 W for a report of an alarm. Officer arrived at scene and discovered a door was left open. The owner was contacted who arrived and secured the door.
9:21 PM – Officer responded to 63300 Blk. of Diaz St. and talked to complainant in reference to being approached at the Chevron Station and someone trying to sell him a satellite TV.
11:36 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB Frontage at FM 2790 for a report of loose livestock. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
April 6
12:55 AM – Officer attempted a traffic stop on a U-Haul vehicle. The driver failed to stop, he crashed into the dead end in the 18800 Blk. of Pine St. and evaded on foot.
4:51 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a report of a verbal disturbance between a husband and wife. Officer arrived on scene and spoke with both parties. The husband left the residence for the night.
9:05 AM – Officer responded to 15700 Blk. of FM 463 for a report a stolen 2002 GMC Yukon towing a trailer. According to the surveillance video the vehicle was driven off the property at approximately 7:41 AM.
9:40 AM – Officer responded to Laredo St. at N. Prairie St. and assisted the public with a courtesy ride to First St.
10:25 AM – Officer responded to Hurley Funeral Home and provided funeral escort to the Masonic Cemetery.
1:10 PM – Capt. Reyes responded to 14800 Blk. of Railroad St. and recovered the trailer that was reported stolen from this morning.
8:13 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a solicitor who was selling fake gold. The male subject was identified and given a warning and left the scene without incident.
April 7
1:55 AM – While on patrol, officer noticed a female walking on the side of the road of S. Hwy 132. Officer gave the female a courtesy ride to HEB C-Store.
3:10 AM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Harbour St. for a report of a verbal disturbance. Officer arrived on scene and was cancelled by the complainant.
4:22 AM – Traffic stop at 18600 Blk. of N. Prairie St. resulted in the arrest of a 39 YO female subject for having a Warrant out of Medina Co. for the Original Charge of Assault Bodily Injury – Family Violence. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
6:05 AM – Officer responded to N. Somerset St. at Houston St. for a report of a traffic hazard. Officer removed debris blocking the roadway.
6:45 AM – Officer located a tree on Machinery Auctioneers property that fell over on the fence line onto MC Storage property.
9:39 AM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of Blume Dr. to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
12:09 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a verbal disturbance. Upon arrival, the resident denied she needed police assistance. Officer walked inside the house and noticed the children didn’t look distressed or upset.
2:25 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a report of a civil matter – stand by.
3:20 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a lost wallet.
4:21 PM – Complainant talked to officer in reference to her ex’s mental status. After speaking with complainant officer did not find enough evidence to legally detain him.
7:28 PM – Officer responded to 16000 Blk. of White Cap for a report of a child operating an ATV on a public roadway. Officer arrived and observed the child operating the vehicle. Officer spoke with the father of the child and informed him that ATV’s are for off-road use only and could not operate on public roadways.
8:22 PM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Lake St. for a report of a physical disturbance. Officer arrived at scene and discovered the complainant covered with blood. Complainant stated a male subject arrived on the property wielding a bat trying to fight with the complainant’s girlfriend. Complainant saw when the individual swing the bat in the attempt to strike his girlfriend and he intervened and defended her and himself. Both parties denied EMS and did not want to pursue criminal charges.
10:34 PM – Officers responded to Bill Miller BBQ for an alarm. Officers found the building to be secure.
10:43 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a talk to an officer. Complainant stated she feared for her safety and her kids. Complainant needed to get medication for her son from their residence. Officer relocated to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. and conducted a civil stand by while complainant took medication.
