Lytle Police Report

May 3
3:51 AM – Officer responded to Laredo St. at N. Prairie St. for a report of suspicious tractor with its lights on inside the football field. The tractor was unoccupied and locked inside the field.
11:05 AM – Officer responded to Yumm #10 for a welfare check on a vehicle that might have hit a light pole. The complainant stated the vehicle was no longer on scene and had left northbound on Main St. towards IH 35. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
4:06 PM – Officer responded to In/Fab to unlock a vehicle.
5:26 PM – Officer responded to 18200 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a mental health crisis / emergency detention. Ambulance transported a patient to Texas Vista Medical Center (the old SW General). Officer followed and completed required paperwork at the hospital.
8:40 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of an intoxicated man at the park. Officer located the male subject and provided a courtesy ride to his residence.
11:50 PM – Possible civil matter involving a property dispute over a trailer.
May 4
12:15 AM – Officer located suspicious vehicle on First St. and discovered it was a man dropping off his girlfriend to residence near the complainant’s house. Officer spoke to the complainant and explained the situation to her.
7:50 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Short St. to unlock a vehicle.
8:00 AM – Medina Co. S.O. forwarded a criminal investigation into indecency with a child to our dept. It was determined it occurred inside the city limits.
9:53 AM – Officer responded to FM 2790 S at IH 35 for a report of a reckless driver speeding and tailgating. Officer located the vehicle and spoke to the driver.
3:30 PM – Complainant called the Police Station to report a threat via text message. The complainant was referred to San Antonio PD due to jurisdiction.
6:40 PM – Officer responded to FM 463 for a report of a reckless driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
11:15 PM – While patrolling at US Renal Care officer contacted two occupants of a vehicle blacked out behind the business. It turned out to be a husband and wife having a talk.
11:45 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm. Building was secure.
May 5
12:32 AM – Officer noticed a juvenile riding a bike on Main St. and Gray St. Officer spoke with the 14 YO male who stated he was out blowing off steam. Officer provided a courtesy ride back to his house on CR 6846 and released him to his father with a warning concerning violating the city’s curfew.
12:41 AM – Officer responded to Pirate Express for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
1:05 AM – Officer responded to Hwy. 132 at Diaz St. for a report of a possible juvenile riding a bike heading southbound. Officer contacted a 32 YO male. Subject stated he was on his was to his residence in Twin Lakes.
1:06 AM – While on patrol at Main St. and FM 2790 N, officer noticed a man sleeping in the grass near the railroad tracks. The subject stated he was walking to Corpus Christi. Officer provided him a courtesy ride to the nearest truck stop and aid with cash for food.
1:55 AM – While conducting a business check at Sonic Drive-In officer located an open front door, no signs of criminal activity & the building was secured.
2:05 AM – While conducting a business check at Lytle Dental officer located an open back door. Officer cleared the business with no signs of criminal activity note. Officer spoke to the alarm company rep, after he activated the alarm and explained the situation. Officer was able to secure the business.
8:01 AM – Officer responded to Hacienda Jalisciense to unlock a vehicle.
11:32 AM – Officer responded to Tots to Teens for a report of an alarm. All was okay.
12:37 PM – Officers responded to Pumphouse Carwash for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
2:13 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
5:16 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
9:57 PM – Officers responded to 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of an ex-boyfriend on complainant’s property without permission. The contact resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old male subject for having an Active Warrant out of Lytle PD for Assault. Subject was transported to ACSO Jail.
May 6
2:29 AM – Officers responded to Pecan Grove Apartments for a report of loud music. Officers did not hear any music upon arrival.
9:56 AM – Officer responded to 14600 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a Burglary of a Building. Unknown suspect(s) cut locks off the gate and gained entry to property. The suspect cut the locks off two storage units and stole an unknown amount of property. The offense occurred between 5/5/21 and 5/6/21.
11:30 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to officers about unauthorized charges on her credit card. The offense didn’t occur in our city.
3:33 PM – Officers responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 Access Rd. for a report of a two-vehicle crash.
5:56 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at Diaz St. for a report of a possible intoxicated female walking along the railroad tracks. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
10:49 PM – Field contact at Whataburger resulted in the arrest of a 41-year-old male subject for having an Active Warrant out of Bosque Co. for Driving While License Invalid with Prior Conviction. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
May 7
12:35 AM – Officer responded to Bruce St. at Harbour St. for a report of a suspicious truck parked in the middle of the street. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
12:50 AM – While on patrol at Best Western Plus officer noticed a man riding a bicycle and wearing a backpack exiting the parking lot. The male subject stated that he and his wife were just out of a casual bicycle ride. Field contact resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old male subject for having an Active Warrant from Bexar Co. for Theft $759 – $2,500. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail. The wife was provided a courtesy ride back to her residence.
12:07 PM – Officer responded to Yumm #10 for a report of a fake $20 bill (not counterfeit, it was marked “Prop” money”) that was found in the front yard of a customer’s home. The store clerk was unable to provide the name of the customer but stated he was a regular.
12:27 PM – Officer responded to Camino Real for a report of a burglary of a vehicle. A catalytic converter was stolen. The victim stated the theft occurred between 8am and 12pm on 5/7/21.
1:24 PM – While on patrol at 15000 Blk. of Short St. officer was flagged down by a concerned citizen to inform him about numerous vehicles entering and exiting a residence. Extra patrol was requested.
2:49 PM – Officer responded to Church’s Chicken to unlock a vehicle.
3:05 PM – Office responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
3:09 PM – Office responded to HEB C-Store for a vehicle crash.
8:29 PM – While conducting building checks at WTG officer discovered the garage door unlocked. Officer was able to lock the door upon clearing the garage.
9:02 PM – Officers responded to John Lott Park for a report of a burning smell coming out of the women’s bathroom. Officer found some paper burning in the trashcan. A cup of water put the smoldering paper out.
10:02 PM – A traffic stop at Wisdom Rd. and Lake St. resulted in the arrest of an 18-year-old male subject for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Subject was cited and released.
May 8
1:43 AM – A traffic stop at N Benton St. and Laredo St. resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old male subject for having an Active Warrant out of Frio Co. for Evading Arrest – Motor Vehicle. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
10:21 AM – Officers responded to 20000 Blk. of Hyde Park for a report of a patient that left the Camino Real Crisis Center and was at his residence. The male was given a courtesy ride back to Camino Real.
10:50 AM – Officers responded Camino Real Crisis Center for a report of a disturbance, a patient was becoming violent.
11:29 AM – Officer responded to 20000 Blk. of Hyde Park and talked to complainant about whom to call at Camino Real Crisis Center about the occupants of the facility.
1:24 PM – Officers responded to Camino Real Crisis Center to assist to load a patient into an ambulance to be transported for emergency detention. Upon officer’s arrival, no help was necessary.
1:30 PM – Officers responded to Country View Apartments for a report of an alarm. All was okay.
3:29 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB at North Prong Atascosa River to assist a motorist with a tire change.
4:40 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of an attempted theft valued at $135. Management elected not to file charges on the two suspects involved. Both were issued a Criminal Trespass Warning verbally.
6:13 PM – Officers responded to 18800 Blk. of Ball Rd. for a report of an alarm. All was okay.
6:15 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
8:23 PM – While on patrol at 14700 Blk. of Main St. officers were flagged down about unknown suspects stealing a front license plate off a vehicle.
11:20 PM – A traffic stop at Main St. and Bank St. resulted in an 18-year-old subject being cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Alcoholic Beverage by Minor and a 19-year-old subject for Possession of Alcoholic Beverage by Minor.
May 9
12:10 AM – While on patrol at Best Western Plus officer observed a female walking on the side of the road. The female was walking to Whataburger where her ride was going to pick her up. The husband arrived and took said female.
3:00 AM – Officer located a female pedestrian at Big Tex Trailers and provided a courtesy ride to Pilot Truck Stop.
7:48 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a report of a verbal disturbance. The dispute was over a cell phone between a granddaughter and her grandparents.
8:18 AM – Officer responded to Camino Real Crisis Center for a report of a 65 YO male that left the facility and had an emergency detention order at noon. The male was seen by Park Place on IH 35 Access Rd. and returned to Camino Real without incident.
8:53 AM – Officer responded to 18400 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of large ram that was observed on Wisdom Rd. The animal was herded back into the pasture.
10:46 AM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a welfare check on a 911 hang up call. Officer was unable to locate. The owner of the hotel stated the room phones are required to dial a 9 then a 1 to reach an outside line. Officer walked all hallways on all three floors and was unable to hear anyone in distress.
2:37 PM – Officer responded to Bealls P-Lot for a report of a civil matter – child custody.
10:03 PM – Officer responded to StarCross Trail and Diamond B Trail for a report of a civil matter – landlord/tenant dispute
