Lytle celebrates its third music festival

Last Friday evening, hundreds gathered at the John Lott Municipal Park for the Lytle Music Festival to enjoy live music and peruse the many vendor set-ups and food trucks.

The festival spanned two days, kicking off on Friday with a night of music and shopping and continuing the next day with a car show and a new lineup of bands and singers.
This is the third year that Lytle has had this festival.
“Every year, it just keeps getting bigger,” said Lytle Mayor Ruben Gonzalez.
Families and friends set up lawn chairs on the baseball field in front of the stage, while a group of children played tag towards the back of the field.
“You have every generation out here, having a good time,” said Gonzalez.
Bidi Bidi Banda, a band originating in Austin, started out the festival with an energetic performance of Tejano music.
After nightfall, Mario Flores and the Soda Creek Band took the stage, performing a variety of country classics and their own original music.
