10:22AM – Suspicious person on Teel Dr N wearing dark shirt and tan shorts wanting to buy items but didn’t have correct amount. Located by police.
11:04AM – Complainant on Sayers Dr concerned over pickup in her yard for over an hour. All okay.
18:49PM – Two-vehicle minor accident on Teel Dr S. Unit 1 was in parking lot and started to back up without seeing unit 2. No damage was done to unit 1. Unit 2 had dent and scratch to left bumper. Both parties exchanged information.
23:10PM – Complainant reported loud music disturbance on Upson Dr. Complainant said neighbor was “bumping rap music” and asked him to turn it down. No music heard.

22:32PM – Anonymous caller reported there was a party with underage drinking and drugs. Family party, no issues observed.

01:15AM – Anonymous caller referenced loud music at residence on Ross Ave. Home owner was contacted and music turned down immediately.
02:48AM – Officers assisted MSCO with disturbance between male and female on CR 6768. Male left location prior to officer arrival. Females property was thrown out.

8:55 AM – 15300 Blk. Oak St. – Officer responded because Medina County EMS needed to contact the Nursing Home staff regarding a patient transported earlier.
12:55 PM – 19500 Blk. McDonald St. – Officers responded to unlock a 2012 Dodge Durango.
2:00 PM Ofc. Diaz – 16100 Blk. Medlock Valley – Officer spoke with a complainant by phone regarding a missing Hilti hammer drill from the work site in August, valued at $1,650.
2:30 PM – IH 35 SB @ MM 133 – Officers responded outside Lytle city limits to a report of an 18-wheeler on fire. Officer remained on scene for traffic control.
3:37 PM – Lytle PD – Officers received information from Brown County Child Protection Service in Minnesota
regarding possible child abuse. The address was in Atascosa County outside the city limits of Lytle. ACSO was notified.
9:32 PM – 15300 Blk. Cottage St. – Officers responded to an unwanted guest at her residence.
Friday, September 18
12:29 AM Ofc – 19500 Blk. S. Somerset – Officer initiated a traffic stop for failing to stop at the designated point, resulting in the arrest of a 21-year-old male for Tampering with Physical Evidence and Resisting Arrest. The male was transported by EMS to the Hospital for a medical emergency and released from custody, with pending charges to be filed.
9:00 AM – Lytle PD – Officer spoke to a complainant regarding Theft of Service home brush pickup.
10:15 AM – Lytle PD – Officer spoke with a complainant by phone about recovering a $1,000 deposit on a home
purchase.
10:21 AM – 15100 Blk. Main St. – Officer responded to a truck that struck the building’s roof gutter.
12:57 – 15100 Blk. Magnolia St. – Officers responded to a vehicle with three passengers knocking on the resident’s
door. The passenger, a 30-year-old male, was arrested and then released on an active warrant out of Hidalgo County for Dangerous Drugs. Hidalgo County declined to extradite the male.
2:05 PM – 14200 Blk. Main St.) Officers responded outside of the city limits of Lytle for a report of a female pointing a machine gun at the complainant. Officers detained the 44-year-old female and turned her over to the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Deputy. Officers determined the machine gun was an airsoft gun.
3:59 PM – Lytle PD – Officer spoke to a parent on the phone regarding a child custody issue.
4:10 PM – Lytle PD – Officer released personal property to its owner.

1:14 AM – 15000 Blk. Main St. – Officer initiated a traffic stop for speeding, which resulted in the arrest of Male (28) for Driving While Intoxicated. Male was booked into the Atascosa County Jail.
12:00 PM – Lytle PD – Officer spoke with a complainant by phone regarding unwanted contact from another person.
7:45 PM – McDonald St. @ IH 35 Frontage Rd. – Officer responded to a report of a loose horse. The owner had possession upon arrival.

7:35 AM – 15300 Blk. Oak St. – Officer responded to the death of a 63-year-old male.
2:21 PM – 14800 Blk. Lytle-Somerset St. – Officer responded to unlock a 2027 Isuzu truck.
8:09 PM – Reckless Driver – FM 3175 @ IH 35 – Officers responded but could not locate the vehicle.
Natalia Police Report
September 15, 2026 – At approximately 0800 hours, ffficers responded to the area of 404 Bartlett regarding a report of smoke. Upon arrival, Officers observed the homeowner burning a small amount of brush in the yard. Officers contacted the homeowner, advised them of local open-burning regulations/safety precautions, and instructed them to extinguish the fire immediately. The homeowner complied without issue and extinguished the fire completely. No hazards or structural damage were observed, and officers returned to service.
September 15, 2026 – At approximately 2324, during traffic enforcement, officers initiated a stop on a vehicle with an inoperable license plate light. Contact was made with the driver, who admitted to not having liability insurance on the vehicle. The driver was issued a warning for the equipment violation and a citation for failure to maintain financial responsibility, with a summons to appear at Natalia City Hall. Because the vehicle was uninsured, it was impounded and towed by Morales’s Towing following a standard inventory search. Officer then returned to service.
September 16, 2026 – At approximately 0800, an officer initiated a traffic stop on a northbound vehicle displaying an expired registration sticker (06/2026). The officer initially intended to issue a written warning, but due to a printer malfunction during the stop, a verbal warning was given instead, Officer then returned to service
September 16, 2026 – At approximately bout 1322, while officers were conducting patrol, observed a stalled vehicle intersection of FM 471 S and STATE HIGHWAY 132 with 3 people in the vehicle. The Officer made contact with the driver and the driver asked can the officer take her family to lytle due to the heat while she waits on her brother to arrive and fix the vehicle. The officer then initiated a courtesy ride to her parents, and then returned back to service.
September 16, 2026 – At approximately 1512, during a routine patrol on State Highway 132, about an officer stopped a vehicle operating without a front license plate or visible registration. Contact was made with the driver, who could not provide a physical driver’s license, proof of insurance, or a vehicle title, and admitted the vehicle was uninsured. Further checks revealed the vehicle’s registration was expired as of March 2026, though the driver had no active warrants and the vehicle was not reported stolen. Due to the lack of insurance, expired registration, and failure to provide a physical license, the vehicle was impounded and towed by Friendly Glenn’s Towing. The driver declined a courtesy ride, stating a family member was on the way to pick them up. Officer then returned to service
September 17, 2026 – At approximately 1104, an officer was flagged down by a citizen requesting a police report to assist a lending company with an ongoing identity theft investigation. No further action was required., Officer then returned back to service
September 17, 2026 – At approximately 1124 hours, officers responded to a report of a person walking along the interstate with a stroller. Authorities located a male subject pushing a stroller containing bags rather than a child. After confirming he had no active warrants, the individual was instructed to move to a safe area away from oncoming traffic. No further action was required. Officers then returned to service.
September 17, 2026 – At approximately 1557, authorities responded to a report of a person allegedly pushed from a moving green Ford Explorer. Officers located the subject with minor scrapes and traced the vehicle to a nearby residence. Following interviews with the driver, the subject, and the initial witness, it was determined that no assault took place. The subject ultimately admitted to voluntarily jumping from the moving vehicle during an argument. EMS evaluated and treated the individual at the scene for minor injuries, and no further action was required. Officers then returned to service.
September 17, 2026 – At approximately 1826, officers responded to a call regarding a civil dispute involving a residential construction project. A property owner reported that a construction contractor was in breach of contract by five days and requested documentation for potential legal action. The parties were advised that the disagreement was civil in nature and must be resolved through the legal process. No further police action was taken. Officers then returned to service.
September 18, 2026 – At approximately 1135, officers responded to a minor vehicular accident at a Loves truck stop. Two drivers were involved when a Toyota Tundra struck a Honda. Both parties exchanged personal, vehicle, and insurance information before leaving the scene without incident. Officers then returned back to service.

Authorities patrolled the neighborhood and were initially unable to locate any evidence of gunfire. Officers later heard several loud bangs resembling fireworks near FM 471, but subsequent checks of the area revealed no unusual activity or hazards. Officers then returned to service
September 18, 2026 – At approximately 2150, officers responded to a library after a building was found with an open door. Authorities cleared the interior and contacted an employee, who stated the facility was closed around 1800 hours and a visitor had been inside to use the restroom shortly before closing. While checking the property, the employee discovered that a front security camera was missing, though they declined to pursue trespassing charges against the individual who had visited earlier. Officers contacted the visitor at a nearby residence, who confirmed being inside the library earlier in the day to use the restroom and stated the door was left unlocked upon departure. No further action was taken. Officers then returned to service
September 19, 2026 – At approximately 0144, officers responded to a call regarding a man sleeping on the grass next to a vehicle. Upon arrival, authorities discovered a turned-off vehicle parked on the grass that had collided with a wooden menu sign, alongside a male subject sleeping and audibly snoring on the ground. Upon waking, the subject exhibited signs of intoxication, including slurred speech, glossy eyes, and the odor of alcohol. An open container of alcohol was located inside the vehicle’s cup holder. Due to observed indicators of impairment and an inability to maintain balance, the individual was temporarily detained. State troopers were unavailable to perform standard field sobriety tests at the scene, and the insured vehicle was registered to the subject. Officers then returned to service
September 19, 2026 – At approximately 2255, officers responded to a public service call regarding an ongoing dispute between two individuals accusing each other of harassment. One party reported being harassed and claimed the other owed money and had stolen a dog years prior. Upon contacting the second party, officers reviewed text messages, voicemails, and social media evidence showing reciprocal complaints. Following inconsistent statements from the initial complainant and an investigation into the matter, both individuals were instructed to cease all contact with one another. No further action was taken. Officers then returned to service
September 20, 2026 – At approximately 1800, officers responded to a residence on Bartlett Street to provide a police standby while friends of an individual currently hospitalized retrieved personal belongings using a U-Haul. Authorities maintained order at the scene and confirmed the property owner’s consent via phone. The retrieval was completed without incident, and individuals on scene were advised to contact law enforcement if any safety issues arose. Officers then returned to service.
September 20, 2026 – At approximately 2102, while on patrol, an officer was flagged down by a concerned citizen assisting a stalled vehicle who suspected the car might be stolen. Authorities made contact with the buyer, who stated the vehicle had broken down shortly after he purchased it for $1,100 and that he wanted his money back.
A database check revealed the vehicle was not reported stolen, though it displayed mismatched license plates front and rear. Officers assisted the parties in traveling to the original seller’s residence, where the homeowner agreed the situation was a misunderstanding and issued a full cash refund to the buyer. Upon arrival, officers contacted a homeowner who stated they did not know the individual’s current whereabouts. Authorities were unable to locate the subject at the scene. September 20, 2026 – At approximately 2231 , law enforcement officers successfully executed an active warrant for a probation violation involving a previous assault charge against a family or household member. Authorities verified the confirmed warrant with dispatch, located the subject, and placed him into custody without incident for transport and booking. Officers then returned back to service.
