Linda Beth (Gardner) Pilgrim

Linda Beth (Gardner) Pilgrim of Devine, Tx., passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the age of 74. Linda was born August 5, 1947 in San Antonio, Tx. to Wylie Franklin Gardner of San Antonio, Tx., and Ernestine Elizabeth Ouzts of Gibsland, Louisiana.
Linda graduated from Devine High School and received a degree from Brazosport College. She lived and worked in Lake Jackson as a Phlebotomy Transcriptionist for many years before settling back in Devine. She cherished the holidays, especially Christmas and loved family gatherings. She was also very creative and made beautiful quilts as a hobby. She was a devout Christian and never missed an opportunity to learn and teach the gospel. The world lost a dear soul, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend, who will live on through the love and sincerity she shared.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Radvansky, and son in-law Gary of San Antonio, Tx.; nephews Scott Gardner of New Mexico and Bobby Gardner of San Antonio, Tx.; Six (6) grandchildren, Shayne Mosley, husband Sebastian of NY; Sebastian Ybarra of Wimberley Tx.; Randi Jo Braly, husband Christian of Kentucky; Chrissy Tharp, husband Logan of West Virginia; Samantha Radvansky of West Virginia; and Allie Rich, husband Logan of West Virginia; as well as six (6) great-grandchildren, two (2) great-great-grandchildren, and many dear cousins.
Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Wylie Edgar “Eddie” Gardner of Devine, Tx.; her daughter Debara Lynn Pilgrim and grandson Jerod Edwin Wleczyk of Wimberley, Tx.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Hurley Funeral Home, 303 W. College Ave., Devine, Tx 78016 at 10am, doors open at 9am. Funeral procession to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Devine Tx. A social gathering for friends and family to further celebrate Linda’s life will be held at the First Baptist Church fellowship hall, 308 W. Hondo Ave., Devine Tx. following the services.
Linda’s family request that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church in Devine, where she was a member, or to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children/Alzafar Hospital Transportation Fund at www.alzafar.org in lieu of flowers.
