Lillie Mae Riddle, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and the matriarch of our family, was called to her eternal resting place on August 22, 2021, at the age of 93. She entered this world on October 14, 1927, in Royston, TX, born to Frank and Ella Weaver. She established her life and raised her children in Somerset, Tx. She was a lover of dancing, watermelon, an occasional beer, old country music and her family. She was the life of the party and always had a smile on her face. She had three loves of her life that preceded her in death; Virgel Tupin, Jim Riddle, and Joe Tompkins. She had nine children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She lived an amazing, wonderful life. She will be missed greatly, but her legacy will live on.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, daughter, Martha Jones; son, Charlie Tupin; foster son, Harry Black, grandchildren, Richard Allen Tupin, Joyce Frisen and Misty Tupin. Lillie is survived by her loving children, James Tupin, Linda Shockley, Virgel Tupin; foster children, Danny Black, Ronald Black, and Terry Paul Black; brothers, J.T. Weaver and R.M. Weaver; grandchildren, Tammy, Chuck, Trena, Michael, Kelly, Jean and Lacey; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Josh, Jaelyn, Tristan, Noah, Sianna, Dominique, Addyson, Dylan, Brittany, Brianna, Alexis and Kevin; step-great-grandchildren, Kenneth and Sidney. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-great-grandchildren and friends.
A visitation will be Tuesday, August 31, 202,1 from 4pm-6pm at the Hurley Funeral Home in Lytle, Texas. A chapel service will be Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 10am at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Lytle, Texas with interment to follow in Bexar County Cemetery in Somerset, Texas.
