Lady Pirates battle through district

The Lady Pirates of Lytle had a rough week last week falling to Karnes City on Tuesday and Jourdanton on Saturday. Against Karnes City, “lost the first set but managed to win the second set. Unfortunately we couldn’t muster enough energy to win the third and fourth,” said Coach Denise Cordero. The scores were 21-25, 25-17, 14-25, and 16-25.

Facing the Squaws on Saturday, October 3rd, the Lady Pirates knew they were in for a fight. Jourdanton was ready to take on the Pirates, but Lytle made them work hard for the win. Falling 8-25, 11-25, and 18-25, Lytle is still ready to finish the second half of district with a winning record.

They will face Cotulla this Saturday and then Natalia at home on Tuesday October 13th. Saturday, Dilley will travel to Lytle for a game at noon.
