JV Warhorses fought hard against Pearsall

When the JV Warhorses faced Pearsall on April 16th, the boys received their first loss of the season at 4-6. The Warhorses played from behind for nearly four innings when they took the lead only to lose it late in the sixth. This loss brings their district record to 6-1 and overall 14-4. They played their last game of the season last night against Hondo.
Pearsall took the early lead in the bottom of the first 0-2. Top of the fifth, 1 out, Clayton Brown, Darrin Lafferty, and Mando Gutierrez on base. Eliseo Perez is at bat and Brown stole home. Perez struck out for the second out. Justin Contreras singled to the pitcher and Lafferty scored. Zach Alvarez is at bat and after two balls, Gutierrez and Contreras steal home. Inning ends 4-2. Pearsall would score 2 runs in the bottom of the fifth and sixth to win the game 4-6.
Perez 1 hit. Contreras 1 run, 2 hits, 1 RBI. Jacob Barron 2 hits. Brown 1 run, 3 hits. Lafferty 1 run, 2 hits. Gutierrez 1 run, 3 hits.
