The JV Lady Pirates copied the Varsity and went 1-1 last week in their first two district games. They fell to Karnes City on Tuesday 15-25 and 18-25. On Friday in Poteet, Lytle won 25-17 and 25-16. They tallied 21 aces against Poteet, “which is an incredible job of serving,” said Coach Jay Tope.
“After our loss at Karnes City, it was important to get the JV team back on track. We had our best practice of the season on Thursday, and the result was the big win on Friday at Poteet,” said Coach Tope.
The JV will face the Squaws in Lytle on Friday, play in Dilley on Tuesday, and then back at home next Friday against Natalia.
