JV Arabians go 2-2 in Hondo

In the Hondo Junior Varsity Softball Tournament, the JV Arabians went 2-2 over the two day tournament, led by Coach Megan Perez.
In their first game on Friday, the JV Arabians faced Del Rio and lost 6-15. Hondo came from behind in their second game to win 6-7. Devine led until the very end when Hondo rallied and won.
Their second day of games was much better with two wins. Making smarter plays and less errors the Arabians beat Cotulla 8-4 and then turned around and beat Medina Valley 11-2.
“Day 1 was a rough day for us as we struggled with hitting and some defensive errors. Hondo was a tough loss as we had the lead until the very last minute of a drop dead game. Day 2 was a much better outing for us and the girls played very good softball,” stated Coach Perez.
Lindsey Herrera hit 4 singles, Serana Macias 1 single, Dawn Morris 1 single, Brooklyn Crossland 3 singles, Selly Gutierrez 4 singles and 1 double. Alex Pedroza 1 triple. Dazzle Coronado 1 single, 2 doubles, and 1 triple.
