Jr. High Mustangs, Lady Mustangs ran in Ingram

Natalia Jr. High was well represented Saturday in Ingram at its Cross Country invitational. According to Head Coach Kim Lane, “All of my runners did amazing and we are very proud of their effort in the hot sun with a lot of competition.”
Jade Mata placed in the top 20 out of over 60 athletes, while Charity Purtell, Andrea Martinez, and Camila Gastellum also competed very well!
For the 7th grade, Jordan Castro and Christopher Tapia competed for the Mustangs and also did an outstanding job.
The Lady Mustang 8th grade runners are working hard each week to improve. Elena Ottinger and Jasmine Sanchez are getting better every day.
Mustang 8th grade boys, Rudy Cruz, Peyton Alderete, Joseph Yanas, and Phoenix Garza, “make one heck of a little team,” said Lane. “We were one shy of competing as a full team but they still represented us well with Rudy placing 20th and Peyton 21st.”
“Keep fighting! We are proud of you!” was the final comment made by Coach Lane.
