Joyce Elaine “Ma” Noblitt Haass

Joyce Elaine ‘Ma’ Noblitt Haass, age 72 of Biry, passed away Mar. 29, 2018.
Born in San Antonio at Santa Rosa Hospital on April 16, 1945, she was the daughter of JW and Amy Noblitt.
She graduated from Devine High School in 1963. She married Douglas Haass May 9, 1964, and they shared almost 54 wonderful years together.
Her family was her pride and joy in life. She was always following her grandkids and would attend any event in which they participated. Her love was extended even further when her great-grandkids were born. She enjoyed playing with them and being there for their first steps.
Joyce was one of the cofounders of the annual The Old Iron Trail Ride which benefits Make-A-Wish Foundation. This year, the trail ride will be held in her memory.
She is survived by her husband; children Tony (Nancy) Haass and Cynthia (Clay) Patterson, all of Biry, Sandra (Greg) Terry of Seguin and Ellen Jolley of San Antonio; grandchildren, Randolph (Lauren) Haass of Biry, Wesley Rihn of Dallas, Amie (Anthony) Cortez of Biry, Cara (Jerry) Thomas of Biry, Ashley Terry and fiancé Dylan Spencer of Dripping Springs, Ryan Haass and girlfriend Alicia Ortiz of Biry, and Brooke Terry of College Station; great-grandchildren, Easton Hennessey, Kelvey Cortez, Daisy Rihn, Elaine Haass, and Aiden Dame; sister, Barbara (Darrell) Wood and their family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws Randolph and Inez Haass; sister, Shirley (Cecil) Jolley, brother-in-law, Randy Haass; and granddaughter, Casey Patterson.
Joyce was a very beautiful, loving, caring and giving wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered for her generous spirit and loving personality.
