Joseph Ronald Ferrell passed away and went to be with our Lord on April 4th, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. at the age of 75. He was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. He came to live in Texas when he was 21 years old. He drove trucks for a living hauling cattle, produce and grain. He went to work for H.B. Zachery Company hauling heavy equipment and worked for them for 25 years until he retired in 2003. He loved playing golf until the cancer took over and he was too weak to play.
He love his home doing yard work and he like to fish and most of all to be with his family. Ronnie had the best sense of humor and loved to tell funny jokes, never forgot one. He enjoyed being around people and never met a stranger.
He met and married the love of his life, Barbara. They lived together 52 wonderful years.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Oldham; father, William Ferrell; one son, Craig Thompson; and two brothers, Tommy Ferrell and Billy Ferrell of Nashville, Tennessee.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara, son Joe Ferrell, four grandchildren, Scott Thompson (Alix), Mandy Ferrell (John Diaz), Joey Ferrell (Megan) Thomas Ferrell (Allisha) four great grandchildren, Jace & Emily Thompson, Kensley & Gunner Ferrell, Ex Daughter-in-law Cathy Ferrell, Brothers Jack Ferrell (Patricia) of Old Hickory, Tennessee, Eddie Ferrell of Madison Tennessee, Jim Ferrell of Woodbury, Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
We all love you and will miss you every day.
