Jose “Joe” A. Rodriguez, 61 of Devine, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023 in Pearsall, Texas.
Joe was born on July 13th 1962 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Joe G. Rodriguez & Francis De Leon Rodriguez. He spent most of his youth traveling with his military family, playing sports and fishing. Settling down in Devine Texas, Joe married the love of his life Norma Rubio Rodriguez of San Antonio, Texas.
Together they had 5 children: Rosanna, Nicodemus, Joseph, Jesse & Ralph.
Joe’s love of fishing and sports was unmatched … he was a coach for his sons football and basketball teams in San Antonio where he was a mentor and built lifelong friendships. Joe’s most favorite thing in the world was to take his grandkids fishing. Any chance He could, he would load them up, and set out to find the closest fishing hole.
Joe loved the Lord with all of his heart, telling all that would listen how God saved him and how thankful he was for each and every day.
Joe is preceded in death by his Father, Joe G. Rodriguez, his Mother, Francis De Leon Rodriguez, his Father In-Law Raul Rubio & Sister In-Law Grace Rubio.
Joe is survived by his loving wife Norma Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX. His Mother In-Law Maria Rubio of San Antonio, TX. His 5 children: Rosanna & Santiago Oropeza of Somerset, TX, Nicodemus Rodriguez & Courtney Bailey of San Antonio, TX, Joseph “Big Joe” Rodriguez & Samantha Hicks of Hurst, TX, Jesse Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX, and Ralph Rodriguez of Pearsall, TX. 9 Grandchildren: Leah Rodriguez, Amberlynn Rodriguez, Nicodemus Rodriguez, Brandon Buitron, Cheyanne Buitron, Alexander Martinez, Madelyn Rodriguez, Joseph “jojo” Rodriguez and Remi Rodriguez. Along with numerous family members and friends.
The celebration of Joe’s life will be in a private service with his immediate family.
