Johnnie Robuck Carter

Johnnie Robuck Carter of Uvalde, Texas passed away on June 18, 2019 in San Antonio at the age of 85. She was born on July 12, 1933 in Encinal, Texas to Floyd Edwin and Mamie Caffey Robuck.
Johnnie married Roy Haass Carter on June 9, 1951. They were blessed with three daughters and 50 years of marriage at the time of Roy’s death in May 2001.
Johnnie graduated from Cotulla High School. She worked at Woolworth in Laredo, Texas for 25 years, then as a Medical Transcriptionist until she retired in 2007.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy Jarred of San Antonio, Laura (Kenneth) Carter of Uvalde, and Gail (Timothy) Dorrycott of New Braunfels; grandchildren, Heather (Craig) Brock, Scott (Reyna) Carter, Jeffrey (Nar) Dorrycott, Evan (Elizabeth) Dorrycott, and Alyssa (Thomas) Hamaker; sister, Robbie West; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mamie Robuck; her husband, Roy H. Carter; brother, Ray Wiley; sisters, Dorothy Wiley, Nola Dillingham, and Mary Margret Gravell, brothers-in-law, Dave West and Bud Dillingham; son-in-law James Jarred, and nieces Brenda and Lisa.
The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.
