John Frank Sostarich

John Frank Sostarich, of San Antonio formerly of Lytle, passed away on January4, 2021 at the age of 88 years. He was born May 22, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to Anton Sostarich and Frances Zunic.
John graduated from high school in 1950. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from 1951 to 1954 in the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Tachatkawa AFB in Japan. He was then stationed at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas and was Honorably discharged in 1959. John worked as President of Ford-Sien Converters manufacturing envelopes from 1965 to 1983. John then worked as an operations manager for Clampitt Paper Company from 1984 until he retired in 1998.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years, Ava Sue Sostarich; son, Scott Sostarich (Melanie); daughter-in-law, Lynn Sostarich; grandchildren, Carol Scoggin (David), John Matthew (Angela), David Sostarich (Whitney), Nathan Sostarich, Mitchell Kyle Sostarich (Madison), Allison Sostarich; seven great-grandchildren, Emma Scoggin, Wyatt Scoggin, Ava Sostarich, Ila Sostarich, John Truett Sostarich, Eli Sostarich and Rowan Sostarich.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Frances Sostarich; son, John Mark Sostarich; siblings, Marie Bilanzich, Anton Sostarich, Anne Curie, Rose Broast and Pauline Cadwalder.
A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 10:00 am at Madison Hills Baptist Church, 15413 O’Connor Road, San Antonio, Texas. Interment followed at Devine Evergreen Cemetery in Devine, Texas.
