Janie D. Castano, 70, passed away on August 16, 2020 in San Antonio. She was born on May 5, 1950 in Devine to parents Simon and Lucia Davila.
Janie was preceded in death by parents Simon and Lucia Davila, sister, Ofelia Hernandez, brothers, Rogelio, Ramon, Paul Davila, niece Victoria Hernandez.
Janie is survived by husband, Jose Castano, daughters Mary Jane (Marcos) Gonzales, Maria Castano, sons, Jose (Anita) Castano, Martin (Deanna) Castano, brother, Simon Davila, grandchildren; Miklo and Thalia Castano, Khloe, Kellyahn and Kason Castano, Martin and Matthew Castano, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Hurley Funeral Home Chapel from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. Mass was celebrated Friday, August 28, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Devine at 10:00 AM with interment following in Coalmine Cemetery-Lytle.
