Jane came from humble beginnings and was raised in San Antonio, Texas by her parents who taught her the importance of God, family and hard work. These ideals were lived out in her life as demonstrated by her strong faith in God, her longtime dedication serving in various ministries in her church, by her loving care for her family and friends and her strong work ethic. She attended Little Flower Catholic School in San Antonio, served as vice-president of the Children of Mary at San Fernando Cathedral in her youth, served as a catechist, CYO leader, youth and children’s choir leader and Eucharistic minister at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Devine, Texas. She and Ben also visited the sick and served as both leaders and members of various prayer groups at St. Joseph’s Devine, St. Vincent De Paul San Antonio and other Catholic parishes for more than 20 years. Jane was a cancer survivor and gave all the glory to God. She also worked at Kelly Air Force Base for more than 18 years as an administrative assistant where she was well respected and recognized for her hard work, reliability, efficiency, integrity, dedication, precision and attention to detail. While working at Kelly AFB she met her first husband Ben and lived an active life raising five children, serving the church and others. She loved music and loved to dance. She is one of the main inspirations, along with her late husband Ben, why all of her children and grandchildren love to dance and each can play at least one musical instrument. Jane was a strong woman of Faith with incredible love for her family and was very independent and active throughout her life. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
