James “Pop” Edward Criswell, of Somerset, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 75.
James was born October 5, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas, to William Criswell and Elizabeth Meadows, both who precede him, along with his brother Michael Criswell.
James is survived by his wife, Laverne Mae (Scoggin) Criswell of Somerset; sons, James Maurice and wife Tammy Criswell of Poteet, Thad Edward and wife Laura Criswell of Somerset, Jacob Karl and wife Jennifer Criswell of Somerset; seven grandchildren, Kyla and husband Matthew Williamson, Courtney Criswell, Kaitlyn Criswell, Tye Criswell, Logan Criswell, Bree Criswell, and Augustus Criswell.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at the Lytle Community Center in Lytle, Texas. Family and friends are welcome to join in celebrating the life of James Edward Criswell.
There will be no services prior to the service at the Hurley Funeral Home in Lytle.
