James Henry Karm passed away on April 25, 2017 at the age of 85 years.
James was born July 14, 1931 in Castroville. He was the third youngest of nine children born to Albert Ellis and Fannie Margaret Lieber Karm.
James worked as a supply technician at a hospital in Lubbock and was the longest working employee there when he retired.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Fannie Karm, and also by his brothers, Joe “Jr.” Karm and Albert Karm and sisters, Isabel Groda, Bernice Alston and Kathryn Hunter.
Survivors include his brother, Basil (Marie) Karm of Seguin; sisters, Gladys (Fred) Greene of Mico and Margaret (Don) Lyssy of San Antonio; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Mass of the Resurrection will be Monday, May 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Church. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
