Isabel Martinez, of Devine, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the age of 64.
She was born January 12, 1953 in Alamo, Texas to Melchor and Regina (Martinez) Garza, who both precede her in death, along with her brothers, Armando Garza, Freddy Garza, Ernesto Garza and sister Antonia Lara.
On August 4, 1968 she married Edmundo Martinez in Devine. He survives her along with her sons; Edmundo Jr. and wife Jovon, Tommy and wife Becky, Steven; daughters, Sandy Flores, Debbie Gonzalez and husband Marco, Jeannette Flores and husband Joaquin; brothers, Vincente, Tommy, Pete, Rudy, Hector; sisters, Mary Perez, Esther Alcantar, Estella Garza, Rafela Garza; sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine.
Funeral mass will be Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Devine with interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Devine.
