Glen Dale Estep

Glen Dale Estep age 90 of Devine, Texas peacefully went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, Vera, on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 in Lytle, Texas.
Glen was born November 14, 1928 to Lee Andrew Estep and Maude Edmonds Estep in Temple, Ok.
Glen graduated from Devine High School in 1947, married his high school sweetheart Vera Pursley in 1948. They spent the next 71 years raising 3 children and working hard to improve everything they touched. Glen was a private flight instructor for the United States Air Force at Hondo Air Base, Hondo, Tx. in the 1950s. Once the program closed, he spent several years building homes, owning a plumbing business and flying for various programs. Glen spent the last years of his life building his hangers at Devine Airport and teaching many people to fly. He was instrumental in the development of Airport and passing on his love of flying to people.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lee & Maude Estep, sister-in-law, Lorine Estep, brother Leroy Estep, and wife, Vera Estep.
Glen is survived by his son, Ronald Lee Estep and wife Kate of Sarasota, Fl.; daughters, Linda Dale Wells and husband Dub of Devine, Tx. and Debra Jean Schilling and husband Richard of Kettle Falls, Wa.; grandchildren, Jimmy Glen Davis and wife Kathy of Elgin, Tx.; Marcia Wells DeChiara and husband George of Arlington, Tx, Beth Wells Barber and husband Brad of Buda, Tx, Andrew Estep of Dallas, Tx, James Ward Estep and wife Rachel of Lakeland, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Riley and Declan Barber, Catalina and Natalie DeChiara, Analyn and Lawson Estep, Tawniel Suarez and husband Luis of Elgin, Tx, and Thomas Southworth of Rockport, Tx, great-great-grandchildren, Barret and Bradi Suarez, Thomas Southworth.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 10A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Hurley Funeral Home Chapel Devine, Texas. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2019 2:00 P.M. Evergreen Cemetery.
