Firefighters battled this blaze on the interstate this past Friday, February 28, 2020 just after 7:30 p.m. The Devine Fire Department was toned out for the Buick Enclave fire on IH-35 N just before Exit 122, near the San Francisco Perez creek crossing. All occupants were out of the vehicle and safe.
According to the family, they had stopped and filled up with fuel in Moore prior to the accident, and officials believe they accidentally put diesel in the vehicle instead of gasoline.
The family got back on I-35 and pulled over when the vehicle started acting up, and were all able to get out of the vehicle before it burned up, right inside of Devine City limits.
