Freshmen Horses slip by Crystal City 14-12

The freshman Horses won a hard-fought ballgame last Thursday at home against Crystal City. Devine scored two touchdowns and converted a game-clinching two-point conversion in topping the Javelinas 14-12.
“I was very proud of our freshman team for defeating a tough Crystal City team,” stated Coach Bart Oropeza. “We were able to hold on to a 2 point lead in the fourth quarter to walk away with the victory over the Javelinas. Our first touchdown was a 50-yard run by Marcus Rodriquez. Jaden Burford scored the 2-point conversion. Aiden Zapata scored our final touchdown on a 10-yard run. Overall, I was happy with our performance and the fact that gave us our second district win.”
