Frances Ruth Traylor

Frances Ruth Traylor, 90, of Devine, Texas went home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 26, 2022 in Lytle, Texas. She was born to Philip and Agnes Respondek on July 12, 1931 in Runge, Texas.
Ruth had the most kind, beautiful, and gentle soul. She always had a smile on her face which would show off her precious dimples. She had so much patience but raising three rambunctious boys taught her plenty about that. She loved to travel the country with her husband in their RV, go fishing at the coast or Choke Canyon, and go gambling at the casinos. During the summer, they would take their grandchildren to the coast or river in their RV. She was a woman of strong Catholic faith and belonged to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Devine where she loved going to Sunday mass and playing bingo. She also enjoyed playing card games and dominos which she taught her children and grandchildren and maybe sometimes let them win. She was an amazing cook and baker. Her children and grandchildren would love to stop by her house for her yummy beef noodle “rabbit stew” soup and famous chocolate cake with “fudgie” icing. Her “famous red slushies” were requested at every event she attended. She loved to listen and dance to Tom Jones on her record player. She lived a long and happy life filled with many memories and adventures. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Creed O’Neal Traylor; her parents, Philip and Agnes Respondek; son, Lonnie Traylor; Daughter-in-law, Charmaine Traylor; grandson, Elijah Traylor; brothers, Aaron Respondek and Vicent Respondek; sisters, Pella Rose Niemietz Zunker and Mary Ann Woitena.
