Four arrested in Special Ops unit, Tactical Entry search

Four people were arrested and booked into Medina County Jail for a variety of drug charges this past Tuesday, February 11th. Members of the Hondo Police Department Tactical Entry Team, Special Operations Unit, Criminal Investigation Division, and Patrol staff executed a felony warrant service and search warrant at a residence in the 1700 block of Avenue U shortly after 8 AM.

“These arrests were a result of months of intensive investigation. More charges may come at a future date as a result of the search warrant,” stated a press release on the incident. “The Hondo Police Department will remain vigilant in its’ efforts to combating drugs and violence in our community.”
A Press Release by Hondo PD states: A male subject was arrested and charged on warrants for Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Penalty Group 1<1 gram Drug Free Zone and Criminal Conspiracy for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Penalty Group 1<1 gram in a Drug Free Zone. A female subject was arrested and charged on warrants for Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Penalty Group 1<1 gram Drug Free Zone and Criminal Conspiracy for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Penalty Group 1<1 gram in a Drug Free Zone. A second male subject was arrested and charged on a warrant for Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Penalty Group 1<1 gram Drug Free Zone.
Incident to the search warrant, the second male subject was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Penalty Group 1-4 grams to 200 grams. A second female subject was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Penalty Group 1-4 grams to 200 grams. The search of the residence resulted in the confiscation of additional drugs, prescription pills, and a firearm.
