A call came in at 3:53 AM for a structure fire on Hwy. 132 in Devine, near the Little League fields. A garage was fully engulfed when firefighters from Devine VFD and Natalia VFD arrived on the scene shortly thereafter. That garage was a total loss. The fire spread to the neighbors’ garage, but firefighters were able to contain it and keep it from spreading to the homes on either side of the structure.
The Fire Marshal was called in and was still on the scene as of 8:00 AM. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
