Evelyn Josephine Schott Thompson, of La Coste, passed away in La Coste on April 10, 2021 at the age of 89 years. She was born August 23, 1931 in Devine, Texas to George Louis Schott and Helen Netherland Schott.
Survivors include her children, Russ Thompson (Terry), Donna Biediger (Greg), Brenda Russell (Sam), Jeannette Sterling (Richard), Cynthia Sosa (Robert), Richard Thompson (Pam), John D. Thompson; daughter-in-law, Dee Ann Thompson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Rihn; brother, Roger Schott; sisters-in-law, Betty Thompson, Marlene Schott and Jerry Jane Schott.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Schott; husband, Russell “Tommy” Thompson; son, Stephen (Robbie) Thompson brothers, George (Lanie) Schott, Randy Schott, Claude Schott and David Schott; brothers-in-law, Denis Rihn and Richard “Dick” Thompson.
Public Visitation will be Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. The Holy Rosary and Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste, Texas. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Devine, Texas.
