Evelyn Ann Stanton, of Castroville, passed away on September 26, 2018 in San Antonio at the age of 69 years. She was born May 24, 1949 in Elizabeth, New Jersey and was one of five children.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, William Pentz and Florence Stanton and her brother, Georgie Stanton.
Survivors include her five sons, Roger (Debbie) Stanton of New Port Richey, Florida, Raymond “Prince” (Dishzo) Branham of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Daniel (Marquita) Branham of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Joseph “Isun” (Tyisha) Branham of Castroville and Ronald “Nasir” (Ma’Isah) Branham of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania;12 grandchildren; brothers, Robert Pentz and Jimmy (Diane) Pentz; sister, JoAnn (David) Farruggio as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In her earlier years Evelyn was a homemaker and did housekeeping. Evelyn spent the later part of her life traveling to visit her children and family. Evelyn loved spending time with her grandchildren.
A Memorial Service to honor Evelyn’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 10:00 am at The Jesus Church, 2035 Hwy 90 W, Castroville, Texas. Visitation and gathering will begin at 9:00 am. Services will conclude at the church.
Memorials may be made in Evelyn’s memory to The Jesus Church or the charity of your choice.
