Dorothy Smith Wolfe, of La Coste, passed away on September 11, 2020 at the age of 94 years. She was born November 21, 1925 in Carlisle, England one of three children of W. Smith and Dorothy Gwendoline Smith.
In 1955, Dorothy met a handsome young man named Doyle Wolfe, who was serving in the United States Air Force and stationed in Weathersfield, England. Dorothy and Doyle were married on August 3, 1957 in Braintree, England. During Doyle’s military career, they traveled the world with each of his duty assignments. Dorothy oversaw every move to each base and set up a lovely home for them. When Doyle retired, they made their home in La Coste and have enjoyed many years there with close friends. Dorothy and Doyle celebrated their sixty-third wedding anniversary last month.
Survivors include her husband, Doyle Wolfe; of La Coste; brothers, Gerald Smith and Paul Mead as well as her nieces, Julie and Evine all of England.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, W. and Dorothy Smith.
Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Services will conclude after visitation.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the Medina County Food Pantry or Food Bank.
