We would like to let you know that Dorothy Carter of Lytle, Texas passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, August 28, 2017. Her work here is done. She has received a call, an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a bonus… a reunion with her husband, Joe, her son Keith, other family members and friends.
Dorothy had a full life. She married Joe Carter in 1945 and together they raised seven children, built a successful business, traveled, and spent many years happily retired.
Dorothy’s life will be celebrated with a visitation at Hurley Funeral Home in Lytle, Texas from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 3, 2017. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 4, 2017 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church, 18627 N. Prairie St., Lytle, Texas followed by a graveside service at Blackhill Cemetery located at 12831 Pearsall Road, Macdona, Texas. Please join us after these services in honor of Dorothy for a lunch at First Baptist Church Lytle, Texas.
