Rene Langley is happy to announce her new massage studio in Devine! She offers 60 and 90 minute customized massages with a goal of “a treatment that is totally individualized to EACH client.” She also offers short and affordable chair massages starting at $45.
“I am certified in many modalities from Swedish deep tissue, cranialsacral, myofascial release, trigger point, to reflexology, sports injuries/ surgery rehabilitation, headaches/migraines and more. I have been a Sports Massage Therapist for over 10 years,” Langley said, having studied physical therapy and sports medicine as well before delving full time into massage therapy.
“I have worked in hospitals, clinics and spas on many clients with a variety of issues from helping clients needing to relax, to helping with injuries or diseases/illness/disabilities that affect clients on a daily basis,” Langley adds.
“I broke my back as a teen so I personally know the benefits of therapeutic massage and to take care of my body. I have a passion for helping people not only feel better but to get better in all aspects of their health,” Langley said.
“I have also worked in hospitals where I would go in and do stretches and massage on patients after a surgery as part of their rehabilitation, as well as patients undergoing cancer treatments. I also worked for hospice for a few years helping do massage and stretches on patients with medical issues, so I am familiar with those modalities and what can help,” Langley said.
Rene is also certified in modalities including Oncology, Geriatric, minors, and prenatal. She explains that the Oncology modality is a specialized “lymphatic massage for clients who have cancer and are going through treatments.”
“Geriatric massage can help the elderly to regain certain physical functions that have been reduced or lost due to aging,” Langley explains. “In addition, it can relieve anxiety and depression and provide comfort to elderly patients and improve quality of life. I have an understanding that some of my clients may lack ability to be transported. So in some cases I will do outcalls and travel to them.”
When asked about reflexology she explains, “Your feet are like the blue prints of your body because all of the nerves run to your feet. So if your back is hurting, we can loosen that up by rubbing the outside of the foot. I am always learning more and more about reflexology.”
She also offers assisted stretching, chair massages, prenatal massages, and more. Enhancements can be added such as hot stone, peppermint scalp treatment, collagen eye mask, facia release massage gun.
