Devine Police Report Sept. 7-13


Sept. 7
9:17 AM – An adult female in the 300 block of Hwy. 132 N. was transported to University Hospital by EMS for an emergency detention.
Sept. 8
1:45 AM – Complainant reported a tree in the roadway in the 100 block of N. Commercial Dr.
3:01 AM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 600 block of Wedgewood Way. Three subjects were cited for open containers of an alcoholic beverage and possession of drug paraphernalia and released.
6:35 AM – Complainant in the 600 block of N. Windy Knoll Dr. reported someone ringing her back doorbell. Officer was unable to locate any subjects in the area.
10:25 AM – Complainant at a car wash in the 200 block of N. Teel Dr. reported a male subject talking to her about the car wash and making her feel uncomfortable. All was okay; the subject was the owner of the car wash.
4:10 PM – Complainant in the 700 block of W. Hondo Ave. reported an ATV driving on the road and going towards Renfro Dr. Unable to locate.
8:45 PM – Officers dispatched to assist the Medina County Sheriff’s Office in reference to shots fired near people on CR 765. Suspects located. Officers remained on scene until deputies arrived.
9:55 PM – Officer dispatched to the 600 block of N. Windy Knoll Dr. in reference to shots fired in the area. Officer made location; fireworks were being popped in the area.
Sept. 9
3:56 AM – Downed power line in the 900 block of Zig Zag Ave. Public Works and AEP were called and the roadway was cleared.
9:10 AM – Officer assisted MCSO deputies with a high water rescue in the 200 block of CR 761. A female subject was trapped in a vehicle. The subject was pulled out by a deputy; all was okay.
11:07 AM – FM 463 was not passable for vehicles because of high water. Officer closed the road until TxDot arrived with barricades. Assisted by Devine VFD.
1:01 PM – Complainant reported a blue Dodge Durango in the 1000 block of FM 3176 that possibly dumped puppies near Frio County line. MCSO deputy made a traffic stop on the vehicle at Bowman and S. Wilson Dr. Subjects did not dump dogs, just stopped to look at them.
1:55 PM – Officer dispatched to the 700 block of W. Colonial Pkwy. in reference to a young girl playing in the running water.
6:24 PM – Officer dispatched to the 1000 block of Robin Ave. in reference to a verbal dispute between a female subject and her husband. The husband left prior to officer’s arrival.
11:30 PM – Complainant in the 1100 block of E. Warhorse Dr. reported a Tahoe driving by numerous times in the past 30 minutes. Last seen traveling towards the elementary school; unable to locate.
Sept. 10
12:12 AM – A male subject and a female subject were involved in a disturbance in the 1100 block of E. Warhorse Dr.
4:57 AM – Report of multiple subjects walking with black ski masks on. Unable to locate.
5:16 AM – Report of cattle near the roadway in the 800 block of FM 2200 W. The cattle went back into a field through San Francisco Creek creek bed.
9:00 AM – Bay County investigator forwarded a sexual assault report on a child that occurred at an apartment in the 100 block of LC Martin Dr. about four years ago.
10:04 AM – Complainant in the 1200 block of W. Hondo Ave. advised her son’s medication was picked up from HEB by her ex-boyfriend. Complainant will be contacting HEB Pharmacy to see if there was an error in filling the medication or bottle labeled incorrectly.
11:49 AM – Tree fell on power lines in the 600 block of Briscoe Ave.
2:27 PM – Complainant in the 300 block of Webb Ave. wanted to speak to an officer in reference to a burglary that had already occurred.
8:06 PM – Officers dispatched to the 100 block of S. Teel Dr. in reference to a disturbance between an employee and a relative. The relative left on foot prior to officer’s arrival. The subject was located and fled on foot. A warrant has been obtained for the offender.
Sept. 11
8:00 AM – A parked vehicle in the 700 block of Atkins Ave. had a broken door handle.
7:16 PM – Vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 600 block of E. Hondo Ave. The male driver was found to be intoxicated and was jailed.
Sept. 12
2:51 AM – Complainant requested officers made location to Chaparral Ford for a male subject walking around the service department. Unable to locate.
9:28 AM – Complainant in the 5000 block of Hwy. 132 N. advised a blue vehicle was not allowing her to pass and then was following her. Officer patrolled the area but was unable to locate the blue vehicle.
2:56 PM – Traffic lights not working properly on Windy Knoll Dr. TxDot notified.
Sept. 13
2:00 AM – Report of a gunshot in the 300 block of Lee Dr. All was okay; a power transformer was blown.
7:20 AM – Traffic lights blinking red in all directions on Hwy. 173 and Windy Knoll Dr. TxDot notified.
2:37 PM – Complainant at Devine Middle School reported a male student from the behavioral unit left campus. The student was located by the School Resource Officer and stayed in his unit for a family member to arrive.
9:42 AM – A Ford F-250 was recently abandoned in the 100 block of Hwy. 132 N. Upon running the license plate, the vehicle had been entered as stolen by SAPD. The vehicle was impounded.
